I loved the first book, but this one pulled me in even faster than the first and I found myself having a sympathy for Cole that I didn't know was possible. The world building was phenomenal and the trials faced kept me guessing and the pacing perfect. The really unfortunate part about this book is that it is a year before I can read the next one.

WOW!THAT WAS INTENSE!!! What an ending - I've never seen that coming - someone had me completely fooled, and not only me.
Excellent installment in the series with complex and gripping plot, sweet flashbacks and memories and a cliffhanger promising an exciting end of the trilogy! Can't wait to read how it will end! Loved it!!! Truly spectacular and amazing series - highly recommended!!!

OK..........EVERBOUND.......just........wow! This was an amazing sequel, you guys!
In EVERBOUND, we find Nikki two months after the events of what happened in the first book, EVERNEATH. She is feeling really bad about herself and has withdrawn from many people (excluding only a few people: read the book to find out who!!!) including her father and her best friend, Jules. Nikki is also tracking Cole's band, the Dead Elvises, which is actually a group of music-playing Everlivings. When Cole shows up in her life once more, she begs for him to take her to the Everneath so that she can find Jack. The story REALLY takes off from there on. I'm not going to tell you EVERYTHING that happens, so you'll have to read the book to find out all of the "deets!"
I really liked how Cole wasn't the way he was in EVERNEATH. In the first one, he was really possessive of Nikki and was willing to do anything to get her to become like him, Everliving. But in this book, he seems a little less possessive and respects her more (in a way). There was some romance between the two of them, but not as much as between Nikki and Jack. Even though Jack isn't in this book much in the present, we get to see how Nikki developed her feelings for Jack in flashbacks (there is something significant with the stories....you'll just have to read the book!).
In the end, I was really satisfied about what had transpired in this 358 page book. There was an equal amount of romance, intrigue, action (yes, i know!) and even a little rebellion (or as I like to call it: the teenage years!).
So, as you can see, I highly recommend this book/series to anyone who likes the Persephone and Hades myth, because this is a really great retelling of the myth most everyone knows. So, once again........................... READ THIS F***ING BOOK, PEOPLE!!!!!!!!! RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!
BTW: I think the last book will be called either EVERLIVING, or EVERAFTER, or EVEREND! The last book can't come soon enough guys!

OMG. This book was so good. I finished it in two days. I could not put it down. I can't wait to finish this trilogy. And Cole.... I had so much hope for him and Nikki. Still do. I hope he hasn't screwed up his chances even though I want Nikki to be an Everliving. I can't wait to read the next book.

What I thought: Everbound was nothing I expected and I guess in that way, it fell too flat for my tastes. Nikki is working on getting Jack from the Tunnels? Tick. Cole refusing the help? Tick. Nikki being crazy and stupid? Tick. But then it all changes when Cole agrees to help Nikki find Jack. Cole is actually being genuine. Finally, he is being nice - being a character we can all love. Yet it's still all about Jack. Sure, Nikki realises she and Cole has some sort of connection, no matter how hard she tries to resist. But she's so loved up on Jack, it made me want to puke. I did like the memories part and getting a bit of a look into the past, but even then, they were so saccharine sweet I just couldn't help rolling my eyes.

It was interesting to learn more about Adonia and what happened to her and her family line. Most of the secondary characters are back, but really they don't exist, because this whole book just revolves around Nikki, Jack and Cole.

Despite this, I just felt like this book was all over the place. It just didn't cut it for me this time around. I want to find out how it all ends and I really hope it's at the standard of the first book and not this one.

The Good: Brodi Ashton certainly left us on a bit of a cliffhanger, which did leave me wanting the last book.

The Bad: I expected so much from the book, but it fell short in so many ways. I really hope she can pick it back up in the last book.

wow. wowwwww.. There are so many things I want to say right now. All of which are spoiler-ful. Three words to describe my current state: PUDDLE. OF. TEARS.

I can't believe I was led on like that....the whole freaking time.......

Deception, Intrigue, and romance, this book has them all. As always, I loved Max, he was great with his sarcasm. The ending was a bit of a surprise, I'm not sure if I'm happy or not about it. I 100% loved it! I am thrilled to read the next book soon.
