wow. wowwwww.. There are so many things I want to say right now. All of which are spoiler-ful. Three words to describe my current state: PUDDLE. OF. TEARS.

I can't believe I was led on like that....the whole freaking time.......

Deception, Intrigue, and romance, this book has them all. As always, I loved Max, he was great with his sarcasm. The ending was a bit of a surprise, I'm not sure if I'm happy or not about it. I 100% loved it! I am thrilled to read the next book soon.

Man that ending....
While reading the book it was in the 3 stars but that ending makes it a 4.5. Loved it!

I'm so glad to finally read a second book in a series and have it not suck. It seems like Second Book Syndrome follows me relentlessly, turning characters that I loved into people I can't stand and writing styles I enjoyed into complete crap. But not here! Yay!

I enjoyed this one just as much as the first book. It definitely really helps to read book #1.5, which I almost never do but would recommend here for sure.

Little rushed near the end to wrap it all up but I am looking forward to the third one.

I actually enjoyed this one more than I did the first. The high school love story was still a little too much for me and Nikki sometimes came across as whiny and selfish.
SpoilerThe fact that she was willing to kill Cole if it meant saving Jack, annoyed me. To Nikki's knowledge at the time, Cole was risking everything to help her. I also didn't appreciate her reasoning for not checking in with her dad every night. Her choice to avoid conflict over saving her dad endless worry and heartache felt pretty selfish to me. At times, she blamed her problems on Cole, only taking slight responsibility for the consequences of her actions.
However, I found this to be a fun and adventurous read. I can't wait for the next one.

Four Stars.
