I love Fraction and Zdarsky and enjoyed volumes 1&2 but, I honestly have no idea what happened here.

This is definitely the weakest of the series. It was all over the place, new characters, new view points, but it didn't know if it wanted to be the story we thought we've paid for or the story about how the the story was writtem. I get that it's trying to be meta, and clever, but it went too far, it crossed the line and got pretensions.
That being said, the story did move forward somewhat. I will continue with the series, I like these characters and I want to see where the story is going. I just hope we get back to Suze & Jon, and less of Fraction & Zdarsky jerkin each other off.

All👏These👏Characters👏Are👏So👏Good👏

-Magical girl tentacle sex monster fairy Kimiko
-Doug D. Douglas
-A real live fictional Asexual Alix(!!!!!!)
-Dr. Glass trying his best
-Dr. Robert Rainbow struggling with his sexuality
-Dr. Ana Kincaid calling you out on your judgmental bullshit
(dang there’s a lot of doctors)
-Sweet baby Rach being the best friend in this mess
-Jon with all his shit seeking medical help
-Angry librarian Suzie finding better ways to work out her frustration
-Matt Fraction and Chip Zdarsky with their meta-masturbatory-fourth-wall-breaking-self-insertion
-And the Sex Police I GUESS

That’s basically the whole comic.

I really like character driven stories, if you couldn’t tell, so this one I’m finding very enjoyable. I borrowed these from a friend but I’ll probably buy my own.

Decidedly my least favorite of the three volumes, this collection focuses on Jon and Suzie essentially declaring war on the sex police. Determined to take down these cops once and for all they decide to track down other people with magical sex powers to persuade them to team up with them. This doesn't quite go to plan though and they find themselves with a couple more enemies, including a really bizarre sex monster with vaginticles. Amusing, although I could have done without the authors inserting themselves randomly into the story (kinda messed with the flow of the story). I'm looking forward to the next installment.

Gosh, I really loved #13, with the asexual representation.

Also the college lecture in #12, which said: So if our mind is adrift beyond space-time and our sexuality is a part of that... then surely it is no binary... it is not even a spectrum... Sex, gender, identity, the fabric of who we are, of our own personal space-time continuum floats like cork tumbling through a manifold of dimensions. Of shifting, colliding forms with a few points in common. Our sex changes like time changes. Like space, like the universe itself. Expanding, growing, collapsing, warming, cooling. Evolving.

I love this quote so much and it feels so true. Not only is sexuality in general fluid, but our own sexuality changes during our lifetimes. Mine certainly has, expanding, growing, collapsing, warming, cooling.

This might be controversial, but I really liked #14. With all the meta stuff. Lately, when I'm looking at art, I care that I feel things and I care that they're authentic. And the whole Fraction & Zdarsky chat was both for me. It felt real, it felt vulnerable and it did not feel one bit like a gimmick. And like, you know, artists need to process things in their art and I am all for that!

And in #15, I really loved Jon & Suzie together. Again. This guy. This girl. <3 Plus, Suzie's side project is just lovely.
