This was really interesting to listen to. Todd Fisher lost both his sister and his mother within days of each other and he shows amazing strength as he talks about his life with two powerhouse women. I just finished and am choked up remembering when he recalls Carrie passing and then his mother.
Todd sounds like he was the voice of reason in the family. They were lucky to have him and he was lucky to have them. Great read.

If you've ever assumed an area of town is bad because it's full of brown people, read this.
If you've ever wondered why there is a Black Entertainment Channel and not a White Entertainment Channel, read this.
If you think you possibly can't be racist because you have black friends/black family members, read this.
If you feel uncomfortable seeing a group of black people talking at your job, read this.
If you feel uncomfortable being the only white person in a room with people of color, read this.
If you've been called out for saying something problematic and burst into tears, read this.
Every "I don't see color" head ass needs to read this.
This now concludes my TED Talk.

I really had no idea about Andy Cohen's life except for he's the man who is in charge of the Housewives franchise and does the Watch What Happens Live shows that I catch every now and then because I'm usually asleep. This was a very interesting listen. It sounds like he knew his calling from a very young age. I like the parts where he talks about coming out of the closet and meeting his idols. He has some very cringe worthy stories. Example: him joking on tv that a bunch of children singing at the Oscars were horrible and the back lash he received. I must have missed this when it happened so I did a quick google and years later people are still ticked off and I get it. He definitely sticks his foot in his mouth. A good listen/read if you're like me and wondering who in the hell Andy Cohen is and how he became "in charge of the girls."
This was a really great listen. I only knew Eddie Huang as the dude the show Fresh Off the Boat was based on so this was an eye opener. I never knew he had a restaurant(s), was a lawyer, street wear designer, comedian, and got into all of that trouble as a kid. We're the same age (shout out to us xennials) so the music references really got me. There were some tough moments hearing about how bad the fighting between his mother and father got and there were times were his dad sounded like a straight up A hole. It was also tough listening to how horrible the kids at his school were to him, calling him racist names. This also made me hungry. Hope I can go to Baohaus one of these days.
Eh...I liked Most Talkative better than this. Just a lot of womp womp womp about first world problems of a rich white man.
This was a good listen. I don't know much about Gucci Mane except that he raps along to one of my favorite rap songs Freaky Gurl and has the ice cream tat on his face. It was interesting to hear about his life. I wish this had came out after his marriage to Keyshia Ka'oir because I wanted to read about how she flipped his money while he was locked up and why he didn't invite is mother and brother to their wedding. I really just wanted more mess. It was fun hearing about him mentoring and giving a chance to a lot of younger rappers like Migos and Young Thug. If you know someone who is addicted to lean, have them read the part about Gucci pooping and what the doctors told him. I'd never touch that stuff. I'm glad he stopped drinking that stuff because he looks good now.
I loved this from beginning to end. Taraji spills all her tea and is open and honest about a lot of things. I loved when she talked about her parents. Be prepared to cry when she goes into detail about her father's passing. She also talks about the ups and downs of being a single mother and how hard it was for her son when his dad passed. I also liked when she talked about getting her first roles and fighting to get the money she deserved as an actress. This was sooo good that now I feel bad that I don't watch Empire anymore. Love me some Taraji!
This was a really good listen from beginning to end. Ever since Stormy Daniels became a household name and I've seen her in a few interviews, I've liked her. She owns every part of herself from the good to the bad and I respect that in people. Also she's a straight shooter. It was sad reading about her life growing up and her POS mother.
Now to the reason I listened to this.
I almost vomited in my mouth when she talked about Trump's penis. I won't go into detail but gross. Sadly he still hit and I feel bad for her for going through that trauma. Stormy actually made Cheeto sound less....a holey in a way.
I'd give this a full five starts but Stormy mentioned she didn't vote in 2016 because she was undecided about who to vote for...GIRL WHAT.

I really really liked this. Being an anxiety sufferer all of my life, I felt seen and heard and definitely understood. Charlamagne went into details about his bouts with anxiety. I love that he is open and honest. Some of his stories were down right embarrassing and there were times where I was like "yep, been there." I'm really happy that more African American's are talking openly about anxiety and PTSD. I agree 100% that trauma is carried throughout generations. I like how a therapist goes into what Charlamagne previously talked about from a doctors view and broke it down to where it was easy to understand. I also liked that Charlamagne was open about having a therapist and going to therapy every week. I enjoyed this so much I'm thinking about buying the book just so I can go back and re read when I need it.
It has been some years since I saw the movie What's Love Got To Do With It and man....I hate Ike Turner all over again. Tina details their relationship and his abuse. If you're easily triggered please beware. I knew the abuse was bad from the movie but hearing it in her words...man...hopefully he's burning in hell. Anyway I listened to this on cd and Tina's voice is on briefly in the beginning and then it's read by Heather Alicia Simms who does a good job. Tina takes us from the beginning to current day. This woman has had one incredible life. She talks about her life growing up in Nutbush, Tennessee and how her mother and father used to leave her a lot growing up. She also talks about her health issues she's had and talked about her current husband (who sounds like a saint)giving her one of his kidneys. As you may remember Tina had a son who committed suicide in July 2018 and she talks about that which is absolutely heart wrenching. This was a great listen. I'm so happy that she found the strength to leave Ike so many years ago and now has someone who loves her the way she should be loved. WON'T HE DO IT?
