THIS WAS THE CONCLUSION I WAS LOOKING FOR AND HERE'S WHY:
-Raffe is back!!!! The dynamic duo are together again. World After lost that spark that Penryn and Raffe had together as their paths took them in opposite directions. If you're a fan of Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell in "His Girl Friday", The End of Days trilogy is what you want to read. Penryn and Raffe aren't whole when they are apart, and when they're together they become an unstoppable force.

-Sick twisted humor. Paige can only eat fresh meat, which equates to people. A CULT VOLUNTEERS. Omg. My laughing at this makes me sound psychotic, but God bless Penryn and Paige's mom. While the world sees her as crazy, this woman is brilliant. Susan Ee, took a woman who has schizophrenia and made her useful. She wasn't a helpless damsel, and this is what the world needs, to see people who have a mental illness are still human and can still offer society so much.
-This whole series is predicated on Angels being the monsters, but this installment really focuses on the humans being turned into the monsters. The dregs of society, being told again and again how they are worthless, this is the book in which they turn into the monsters they've always told that they were.

2 1/2 stars. I had hoped for more, but sadly, the conclusion to this series felt too disconnected in comparison with the first two installments.
First of all, im so sad it's finished. Like this book series was amazing. Gonna miss this world
The trilogy comes to an end with an epic battle of biblical proportions. Raffe is up for nomination as the leader of the angels, which requires a contest in which he must kill as many humans as possible. Will he betray Penryn's trust or join the humans in their quest to bring down all of angelkind? While I enjoyed Paige's presence in this book, Raffe left me frustrated most of the time. And the big battle we were led up to didn't actually last very long. This book could have done with about 50 more pages.
The first two books in this series were amazing and I couldn't stop telling everyone about those, either. The end of the world is here, and Penryn is only trying to keep her little sister and mother safe from the invading angels that want blood any way they can get it. Sadly, she's learning that she can't rely on Raffe (the archangel Raphael) as much as she wishes. With his wings back, Raffe is set to take his place in Heaven and calm the angels. That means never being able to see Penryn again, because she is a Daughter of Man and Raffe's followers were punished severely for that same issue.
Most of this book is a suspenseful tug of war between Penryn and Raffe, with each other them pleading their case on whether to stay or to go. The best part, though, is that Penryn didn't throw herself at Raffe or go comatose for days when he makes his decision. She picks herself up, turns to her sister, and goes on with life. She does everything she can to make life habitable for her family, knowing that these might be the last days they have. It's not until the end, though, that Penryn finally steps into the role that I've been begging her to step into since the second book. She understands that there's more to her family than she thought and that there's more to her, too.
She also gets to go to Hell, so there's that fun part, as well.
What I really enjoyed most was the ending. I'm not going to spoil it, but I am going to say this: it was so normal. Like, day to day normal. When I read the final chapter, it took me a day or two to process what happened. There was no life-changing revelation. There was no big, huge change. It seemed like just another day, and I loved it. I love that this HUGE thing happened, and then back to the day to day grind. It was refreshing to see something like that, especially in a novel that dealt with such fantastical things.
Okay, yeah, I'm gushing, but deal with it. I loved these books. I keep looking at them on my Kindle and wondering when I can get back to read them all again, because it's going to happen. I love Penryn. She's awesome and strong, but also has feelings. She just knows when to have them and when to pack them away. I love Raffe, even though he's kind of a jerk sometimes and it feels like he's stringing Penryn along at some points. It's to be expected, though, because he doesn't know how to act. He's an angel. An idiot one, sometimes. I absolutely adore Dee-Dum. Those twins are the best thing that have happened to secondary characters in a long time. They make you forget that the end of the world is happening and that any of these characters could be killed at any second.

Post-apocalyptic Lite series of novels with poorly done romance angle. Hard to believe these two are so dense.
Otherwise, the main character (Penryn) was sort of interesting and the concluding battle had the benefit of being unique and not at all predictable.

OH MY GOD I love these books so much. I have been wanting to read Angelfall for a while now and I am sooo glad I decided to randomly pick it up at my library. This book was so full of excitement and suspense, along with a surprising amount of humor. I have nothing but good things to say about the entire series.
i’m gonna be completely honest. when i got about 80% through this book, i started just skimming pages and not even really reading. i still got the gist of what went down but i just couldn’t deal anymore honestly.
i was bored and felt like the story was just being dragged on and on and on. the whole talent show bit at the end was so weird and i skipped through it because it felt so unnecessary.
and the epilogue! i’m sorry but what the fuck was that? the way it just abruptly ended? we didn’t get any penryn & raffe interaction in it whatsoever which was so disappointing. everything about it felt incomplete and it was the one part of the book that felt rushed through.
this series was just a flop for me. raffe was the only good thing in the whole trilogy. periodt.

This has really been such a great series. I'm sad to see it end, but this last book was a great finale! The only thing that kept it from being 5 stars for me is that it had a bit of a slow start. Once it picked up though, I never wanted to put the book down! Penryn definitely has her hands full in this finale, and I was on the edge of my seat to find out if she and her family would survive this big final battle. I think people who enjoyed the first two books will definitely be pleased with this one!

This is the third and last book in Penryn and the End of Days.
So there was a lot to be patched up in the third book we have locusts, angels vs humans, raffe and his wings I mean there is a lot plus a lot of expectations on how the trilogy will end from my point. The last book was great it was a good ending that I was pleased with but it was the grand finale I was truly hoping for.
I loved the humour throughout the book especially considering whats happening it's quite refreshing. The comebacks and humour between Raffe and Penryn was so hilarious and greta too I really loved it, it gave the book a more personal twist.
The fight between Angels and Humans continues on by now they have created a new aerie at Alcatraz a prison before the apocalypse, where they grow and strengthen the locust using humans to feed their hunger. The humans are fighting back The Resistance gets stronger and stronger devising attacks and gaining more people along the way.
Penryn has found her family trying to keep them together no matter what, The Resistance are not keen on the escapees from the aerie knowing they are not exactly human coming alive when they were sure they were dead. Penryn has a bounty out for her after she kills an Angel in an attack being named 'The Angel Slayer' claiming anyone who brings her to the angels gets immunity and safety from the Angels.
Raffe still hasn't gotten his wings after going into surgery and being tricked into leaving his old feathered wings in exchange for bat wings, a sign of hell meaning he could never return with the other Angels because of them.
The trials for the Messenger from god is getting closer with Angels getting wary and Uriel scheming and creating human beasts trying to make a plague to set onto the humans to try and finish them off once and for all.
