Wow! This was a great ending to an amazing story! I'm generally underwhelmed or dissapointed by the endings to trilogys, but this one really brought all of the characters and plots together, leaving me satisfied and happy. While there where some parts that made me a little... emotional
Spoiler OH MY GOD RAFFE GETS HIS WINGS CUT OFF THREE FREAKING TIMES IN THIS SERIES ARE YOU KIDDING ME THAT'S NOT EVEN FAIR
and one aspect of the ending was kind of dissapoiiting
Spoiler AND AFTER HE WENT THROUGH ALL OF THAT PAIN HE STILL DIDN'T GET TO KEEP HIS ANGEL WINGS JESUS CHRIST
, I was very happ with the way that it ended. Plenty of action blended with the right amount of romance to hold the reader in suspense, com =bined with a shocking twist at the end that will prevent anyone from putting the book down until the last word is read. I absolutely love Penryn and Raffe, along with the Tweedle Twins (seriously, their dialouge was responsible for at least half of my enjoyment.) Five Stars!!!

Well... It's not that I didn't like this book, but it wasn't as amazing as the first too.

My main problem is that I think it relied too much on human nature and the idea that humans will sacrifice themselves to save other people. And I, personally, don't buy it. Call me pessimist, but I think humans are naturally selfish. In difficult situations, they will run and save their asses. So I didn't believe a good chunk of the book because I don't think humans would act that way.

I part of me wants to give this book 3.5 stars, but I can't bring myself to do it because the other books were amazing

3.5 stars.

Last book of the series, and there was a lot that happened. This made up for a second book where I felt like it was stalling and biding for time for the wrap up. New characters, new places, an interesting backstory to Beliel made this worth it to me.

Endings are tricky for me because I'm usually never satisfied, so I guess I can't hold this against the book. It did feel a little rushed. I was reading on my Kindle so I pay attention to percentage read, so I'm 95% of the way through the book and I'm like...gosh this better wrap up soon because how is there an ending? But there was.

SO.GOOD.

I think I will never understand why this trilogy isn't more popular. I know it isn't the type of book that stays in your head for long, I know it doesn't keep you awake at night. But come on! It's so fun! It's action packed, it's almost never possible to predict what is going to happen, it has a nice romance, it's full of violence and gore, but also often so funny that it's still easy to read.

This installment is no exception. It was as good as the previous books and I had just as much fun reading it. I was a little little bit disappointed at the ending, but honestly that was a fantastic conclusion. I am going to miss this twisted world. And I am going to miss Penryn and Raffe.

There was a time when I tried making caramel Popcorn by buying caramel bonbons and putting everything in a pot together and expecting it to magically turn into perfect caramel flavored popcorn...it all blew up in my face

And that's exactly what I think happened with Susan while she was writing this..

She just wanted to fit so much stuff together! By turning 3 book into one and then making that book less than 400 pages, yeah it's not really a surprise that I ended up disappointed.

I wanted to Dnf this book a lot of times but I was reading with a friend who loved it so who knows? you may love it too, It just wasn't for me.
