It seems like Asheville is the place to be. With a family like this one around, how can you not relocate?

I get automatic acceptance into Dottie's brood upon arrival, right? Because if not, I might have to refrain from uprooting my entire life...might.

Better Luck Next Time is not the first book in Asheville Brewing series but it is my visit book in the series. Arriving late but enjoying the perks seems like Jack and I are similar. This crazy cast and its down home feeling are totally welcoming to new additions, except Jezebel...good luck there.

It feels like friends and family. Each has their own lives, personalities, and drama but they are better as a whole.

It's obvious I've started packing...let me know if you need some boxes. Dottie, are you up for tea?

Fun read

Adalia and Finn’s book is very cute. I really liked Finn from the beginning and was so happy for him to get his HEA.

One of the reasons I enjoy a good series is getting to know a variety of characters and then following them from book to book. That is definitely true with this series. Denise Grover Sank and A.R. Casella have created a cast of characters you can't help but love. Filled with laughs and quirky situations, Better Luck Next Time was even better than the first book in the series!
The Buchanan clan is working to navigate difficult family relationships and make the family brewery a success. Adalia, the younger Buchanan sister, doesn't know where she fits into the family brewery. Art was her passion, but events from her past have made her question her talent. Finn sees her talent and wants to help her regain her artistic confidence. Aunt Dottie has to be my favorite character along with the lovable furry companions we are meeting. Addy and Finn have a fantastic story and I am eagerly anticipating Jack's story next.

I am not usually a fan of romantic comedies. But I gave this series a try because I’m a huge fan of Denise Grover Swank. I enjoyed the first book, but this one is even better. Adalia’s life story fits perfectly with Finn’s. There’s so much humor in this book, as well as searing, brutal honesty about the things that stick with us and define who we are as human beings. Absolutely loved their love story.

This book was just okay for me. I don't know if I just like first person narratives better or if it was the actual story line. I sludged through this. I wasn't really invested. Which is probably why it took me almost 3 weeks to finish.

I wasn’t so sure about Finn from the last book. But he more than redeemed himself. Addy is definitely an artist and has a different way of looking at life. Good story line. Chemistry between the characters was ok. I like how all of the characters are in this story so you don’t feel like you’re missing out.

I've been excited to dive into this story ever since I finished the last book of the Asheville Brewing series, and it turned out to be even better than I had hoped. When we last saw her, lead character Adalia Buchanan was kind of a hot mess, having recently been bailed out of trouble (literally) by her older sister, Georgie, and relocating from New York City to Asheville for a fresh start. Despite her problems, Adalia was incredibly sweet, funny, and likeable, and I really wanted good things to happen for her. Adalia's love interest, Finn Hamilton, also seemed to be a good person in spite of the various conflicts between him, Georgie, and Georgie's boyfriend, River.

I wasn't entirely sure what to expect of Finn and Adalia as a couple because they seemed so different, but they proved that opposites attract because the free-spirited artist and the preppy businessman worked surprisingly well together. I loved how supportive Finn was of Adalia's art, even if he didn't always show his support in exactly the right way. He saw her talent immediately and encouraged her to get back to doing what she loved, because he could tell that she needed art in her life to be happy. In return, Adalia encouraged Finn to find a path that would make him happy, even if it turned out to be something a bit different than what he'd expected.

The book's secondary characters were just as much fun here as they were in the previous book, particularly River's aunt Dottie. Jezebel the devil cat still ruled the roost in hilarious fashion, though surprisingly, she seemed to become attached to Georgie and Adalia's half-brother, Jack. Speaking of Jack, I enjoyed getting to know him a bit better and finally learning the secret he had been hiding back in Chicago, which wasn't quite what I expected it to be. I'm excited for Jack's story to come in the next book, when he will be paired with River and Finn's friend Maisie.

Overall, I loved "Better Luck Next Time" and highly recommend it for all fans of contemporary romance and romantic comedy. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book of the series.

Both Finn and Adalia are at crossroads in their lives. Finn has just sold a business (not a smooth process for many reasons including the fact that he almost lost his best friend because of it.) Adalia has pulled out of art school even though art is her life. Her mentor really did a number on her and now she's not sure she can continue to make art. Well, she's doing it part-time for her family's brewery as their marketing person. And also hiding out in a friend's shed painting but then ripping up her work. It's there that Finn starts to realize that Addy might be hiding secrets. Which is not good because Finn is horrible at keeping secrets. Like, really, really bad. But he realizes that he could use her expertise in getting together a fundraiser art show and maybe while she helps him, he could be helping her as well.
I liked this book better than the first in the series and am waiting with bated breath to see what the next book in the series will be. Hopefully Lee (Addy's brother) will finally get rid of his girlfriend and also get himself out from under his father's thumb.

I was given this arc in exchange for an honest review. It was a really cute book. I had a hard time getting into it at first and I think that is purely because I haven’t read the first book! If I had I think I would have be drawn in and connected quicker. This had fade to black scenes, which I don’t mind, but even though they had cute chemistry, it wasn’t as pulling as I usually like. I was drawn in, I did enjoy the story and I am keen to see what happens with future characters!
