I thought this book had some useful interventions for calming the nervous system, despite the fact that many aspects of Polyvagal Theory have been dismatled by science.

Just not what I expected. There was a lot of space given to individual reflection, while I was really looking to gain more information about poly vagal theory and how it impacts us as humans

This is a practical guide and action oriented. I like that the author describes a sense of well-being and connection as finding our way home.

This review of Polyvagal theory and practices felt like it was written more for the indigo and less for a therapist, which was more digestible. Lots of great quotes and introspective exercises. There were some physical practices to engage and reshape ventral vagal activity, but I think if I want more of that I need to look at “somatic experiencing” or energy medicine/touch for health manipulations.
