This was just middle of the road for me. The writing wasn't horrible, but it didn't flow like I would have liked, and I didn't get immersed in the story. The stuff that happens to Georgie and River was funny at times, and other times was just over the top. Georgie's siblings were not nice people, and it was annoying that Georgie kept letting them get to her. River's friends were kind of crappy too, and it was annoying that he was so blind to Maisie's feelings for him. This book is what I consider to be a clean read, and there is no steam to speak of. I was skimming by 70%, and the only thing I was looking for was to see how long it took River and Georgie to get over their hang ups. The ending was sweet, and they do get their HEA.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.

Read at the beginning of COVID and the only notes I wrote down was "meh, 3 stars". I'm trying to remember more, but I just can't. It's 3rd person, so that may have been my issue.

I loved this story! Georgie and her siblings inherit the family brewery and none of them know what they are doing. Georgie did connect and bond with her grandfather before he passed away and, believe it or not, she wants to give the brewery a shot.

But she desperately needs River's help—he really knows the business—and is the only one who can turn it around. But..... no mixing business with pleasure, right? That's when the fun begins! The chemistry between Georgie and River is fireworks! And the fun is watching them trying to NOT light the match that will set the fireworks off.

There is also a huge, wonderful, zany cast of characters that kept me in stiches throughout the whole book. Oh, if only we all had friends like these! Some of the situations they got themselves into made me laugh out loud.

Book #2, Better Luck Next Time, comes out soon and I can't wait to go back and visit everyone again and see what they are all up to now.

A new romance is brewing in Asheville, NC! Fans of Denise Grover Swank will not be disappointed in this new series co-written by Denise and AR Casella.
When Georgie Buchanan and her siblings inherit their estranged grandfathers brewery, they must decide if they want to run the business or sell. Georgie is a tenacious business woman who is up for the challenge of turning around the faltering Buchanan Brewery. However, while she knows the business world, she doesn't know anything about beer. She hires River, who just happened to learn his brewing techniques from her grandfather. The attraction between Georgie and River is strong, but quite a few obstacles stand in the couples way. My favorite part is the cast of diverse and eclectic characters that drew me into the Asheville Brewery world. I had so much fun laughing at the antics of Dottie, Josie and Lurch. I recommend this book for fans of Kristan Higgins' Blue Heron Series and anyone who enjoys romance with great characters and lots of humor.

This is a fun romcom that was hard to put down. Georgie and her siblings are left their estranged grandfather Beau's brewery. Having just sold her company, Georgie decides to take on the challenge, to prove something to her father and brother but also to prove that Beau was right to have faith in her. River has been let down by so many people in his life but he jumps at the chance to help restore the brewery as Beau was a mentor and so close to him. Sparks fly between Georgie and River as they start working together but a non fraternization policy and several other hurdles get in their way.
This book is full of fun, quirky characters and sets up some intrigue about the stories of Georgie's sibling that follow in the series including the half brother they didn't know about.

I am so impress. This is my first read by these 2 authors. The story is more rom com but with an interesting twist and drama. I am surpise that this book does not received enough exposure. The story is very entertaining.

Georgia is a type of heroine who suddenly get a brewery inheritance in her lap. With no knowledge whatsoever about brewery she formed a business relationship woth River, the hero. Soon enough these two formed a romantic feeling toward each other.

The authors done a good job bringing a lot of humor into the banter. I do feel like sitting in the family drama that about to explode. Very entertaining.

I needed this book it was just the right amount of funny mixed with a great storyline and romance.

It really has all the things you look for in a romance book. The intimate scenes faded to black, not my norm but sometime stepping out of the norm is ok.

Georgie is a great character and I love that she isn’t afraid to speak her mind. Her family is intriguing and if I continue with this series I know I will be pleasantly surprised. The sister is someone I want to know more about that is for sure.

River and his crazy town had me laughing. I think his best friend might just have feelings for him and I don’t think he even knows. So we definitely need her to get her own HEA.

The puppy’s omg I about feel in love. Hops what a great name!

I loved the narration Joy is a great voice actress she really gives each character their own voice it was wonderful to experience.

see spoiler for reasons
Georgie intentionally withholds the fact that River was named as recipient of the brewery if she and her siblings fail to win the beer contest in 10 months. Also, her half-brother wants get a reference from River's last employer since he just spontaneously quit on the day of the funeral. Georgie knows why River quit. She either is failing to mention it or it's a plot flaw.
