The finale of the series. While, it was still an enjoyable read not much happened compared to the other two. Definitely the least favorite.

Wow. Okay. There are so many things I'd like to say about this book.

1. The characters are so damn dramatic. Besides all the revenge and petty relationship drama, I would like to start with the storm. They're all trapped in the same house during this hurricane and that act like complete imbeciles. For one, they lose their minds after they find out the power's gone out so *gasp* no Wi-Fi. Seriously, these people start going crazy. "Oh my Lord Jesus, I'm going to die because there's no Wi-Fi. Have you seen me without Wi-Fi, it's not pretty. OMG everything is dark and I'm scared, however will I survive during this horrific time." Now I'm not making light of a hurricane because I know they can be damaging-- but the storm in this book? FRICKING RAIN. That's it. There's a bit of rain and the electricity goes out. And they're all losing their goddamn minds, acting like they're going to DIE! My power has gone out plenty of times and I sure as hell never cowered like a wimp baby brat because there was no damn internet.
Now. Because people are freaking out over this storm, you'd think they'd stay in the house safe, right? Because they're so scared for their lives? Well sure. Until one idiot decides to go out and surf in the middle of this "oh-so-dangerous" storm. Do people actually do this crap? Act like it's normal to go out and surf in deadly waves during a hurricane? I mean I know there are some people out there that do this, but is it actually normal? Am I the only one with common sense here? (Clearly.) So Gemma runs after him into the face of some huge, waves where she's practically swallowed by them. Oh-- I'm sorry. Was I supposed to be impressed by this moment of bravery? I'm just shocked by the SHEER STUPIDITY displayed by these characters. And then he sees her getting washed away and he goes "Omg Gemma, why would you run out into water in the middle of a storm, that's dangerous when you don't know how to surf." Because knowing how to surf makes you invincible. K.

2. While I'm trying to get over the ridiculousness of people acting like they're going to die because of some rain, Gemma and Hallie decide to team up. And break apart their married parents.
Do these idiots learn nothing? All of their problems stem from Gemma breaking them up years ago, and it's like she's learned NOTHING. She's ruined people's lives and relationships and she was crying like she felt bad, but she was literally trying to do it all over again! I can't express just how disgusted I was. She doesn't want them to be married because she hates Hallie and kissed Josh. So because she wouldn't be happy being their step-sister, she needs to break them apart. She never stops to think about how maybe their parents are happy and in love. All she thinks about is her own damn selfishness. My mind was blown. And when she tells her friends of her plan, what do they do? "Oh, ummm, guys, I don't think that's a good idea. But as long as I'm not involved, okay."
....
.
For real? Get some good friends who will tell you that you're being a selfish bitch and put a stop to the nonsense. Seriously. What kinda friends...? After seeing the damage Gemma caused, how can they sit back and do nothing? Oh they "disapproved." Get off your ASS and actually do something besides shake your head.
There is a thing called character growth and not one character displays any. They make the same mistakes and decisions from book 1. And--
You know what? No.
I can't with this book. I'm not even going to write anymore.

This was a surprisingly good end to this okay trilogy. It's still was only okay though. And one of my biggest grammar pet peeves- saying itching when you mean scratching- was used and that kind of bothered me until the end.

I can't get over the fact that Katie Finn is Morgan Matson.

This book was better than its predecessors. While it was short, quite a bit of much needed character development happened. I thought it was a pretty satisfying ending to the trilogy. Like the others, it was quite predictable. This was definitely the best of the three books. I still wouldn't recommend the series as a whole, because the first two books are frustrating.

If things between Gemma and Hallie weren't already bad enough, their parents are now engaged and they're stuck in the Hamptons together during a hurricane. Putting their own conflict aside, the girls decide to do whatever is necessary to split up their parents. But when a hurricane comes Gemma, Hallie, Ford, Teddy, and Sophie are all stuck trying to survive the storm while also working on their schemes. During the course of the storm, the girls discover the truth of what happened between them and who was trying to drive them apart for their own personal gain. In the end, Hallie and Gemma decide to put their feud aside to survive the storm, find love, and to help their parents find their own happiness.

This book had a good ending to what the first two books set up, but it would have been more effective to put the series into two books because at times this one feels like it is dragged out with the same false information, sabotage, and then realization of what is actually going on that dominated the first two books in the series. The ending to the series wasn't a grand finale, and it doesn't show a lot of consequences for the actions of the characters in the series when they should have, but it leaves the reader satisfied with where the characters end up in the end. The books are very cliche, and the characters sometimes don't have much character traits other than the few that are necessary for the story to happen, but the story is still light and enjoyable, perfect for an easy summer read.

Pretty weak way to end an otherwise great series.
