So first off, I loved the idea of the setting with them being trapped together in a mansion during a hurricane and I think it worked really well for the story. There were a lot of issues things that I think were never resolved or were just kind of left hanging and just brushed over for some reason which really bothered me (like the issue that their parents literally got married and didn't tell their children but when they found out there was no talk had about it or at least a light apology???). And again there were a lot of "surprises" that I felt should have been obvious to the characters like how Gwyneth was there the whole time or the problem with the generator tanks. They just kind of kept happening and to be honest I was getting pretty sick of how obvious it all seemed.

Overall I would probably have to say the second book was my favorite out of the three, but I loved the conclusion with Ford and Gemma. Also I thought that having the epilogue narrated by Hallie was a great idea and was executed well.

As the last book in a YA series, I think that this book was good, but not exceptional.

As childish as they can be, I liked reuniting with the characters, which are all funny and interesting. I think that some of them finally grew up, which was a bit of a relief, because the previous book, as well as the first half of this one, made me roll my eyes in exasperation at some things that the characters were doing or saying. It was nice to see them grow up as the series progressed.

I'm really happy that this book has a resolution for most of the issues encountered during the previous books. Overall, I don't feel like anything new happened; instead, I feel like everything I was more or less expecting happened, which was not a bad feeling. Some people made peace, some confessions were said and some relationships started or ended, but there wasn't any big finale, which was a bit disappointing, but not surprising, considering everything that needed to happen in such a short amount of pages. It wasn't too predictable, but I feel like it would be even better for younger readers.

I'm satisfied with the end of this series, so I'd definitely recommend it to younger (or even older) readers.

I have been waiting since last summer to finish reading this series and I am very happy I was finally able to finish it. Like the other books, it had it's fair share and fill of drama, especially given the hurricane aspect. As excited as I was to read the final book in this series, I am now sad that it is over. Reading the series was such a fun ride and saying goodbye to Gemma, Hallie, Ford, everyone is sad. Even though there were things I could predict that were going to happen, it did not in any way detract from my enjoying reading this book.

I think I’d actually give this a 3.75, it was still enjoyable but I didn’t like it as much as the other two. Everybody being stuck together and having to team up and work through issues seemed too easy. Not to mention there’s a hurricane and instead of everyone staying in the main house (which has plenty of bedrooms as is noted) the parents decided to stay in the guest house which is at the edge of the property super far away...seems about right.

I don’t know what to say about this one exactly. I liked it, but there were parts I didn’t like. I don’t know. I think the end was way too happy slappy tied up in a bow. There should have been a little more tension.

Great summertime beach read. Quick, light, and easy. Predictable, again, but worth the read!

So cliche xD And like the previous two, quite predictable. Still, I like that the ending was very satisfying.
a little bit annoyed about the fact that the whole trilogy was based on misunderstandings and that the characters are SO PETTY.
Overall, I definitely prefer Morgan Matson over Katie Finn
