Oops

#1 when confessing your deepest darkest secret, verify no unwanted ears can hear it
#2 loving someone who doesn't love you back is heart breaking- attempt to move on
#3 try not to get involved with bitchy girls from work

Those are just a few tidbits you will pick up. Remember, some things are worth the wait

It’s a fun light read. I won’t remember it forever, but it was entertaining enough for a freebie.

This is definitely a slow burner. It covers so many tropes which make it an easy feel good read and I finished it so quickly.

There's best friends brother, virgin, friends to enemies (ish) to friends to lovers. The tension between the two characters is there from the beginning and it doesn't let up but I was so disappointed that after all that tension and working towards the inevitable, especially with all the dating that was involved, that the moment we were all waiting for FADED TO BLACK!!!! I could have cried. I was so looking forward to this amazing scene that we were working towards and then nothing!

My heart broke.

I still recommend it as an easy and fun read, definitely a summer book but not if your wanting more sexual content.

Um....more please!!!
4.5 Stars
I really, really enjoyed this book. Was it a little predictable? For the most part yeah, but not completely. Some things that I really thought were going to happen, didn't, and I can't even tell you how grateful I am for that. I did think that I had it pretty much figured out, right until the ending.

I really liked Skye, mostly because I completely related to her and all of her social awkwardness. Of course I loved Oliver and all of his teasing and protective ways, but I also really liked Patrick. Which made it hard to root for anyone. It kind of sucks when there is no clear cut bad guy. Of course it's pretty obvious who Skye belongs with, so there's that.

I can't wait to find out what happens next!! I also hope that we get to read about more about Bridget in the future because she was a fun character as well.

Overall, this was a sweet and fun read and I enjoyed the writing style and feel like all of the characters were well-developed and frankly I can't wait to read more.

The title of this book completely overhypes the story. This title is like when you're surfing the internet and you come across an article where the title makes it seem like a celebrity revealed a huge secret, but once you read it, you find out that the celebrity only changed her diet/turned vegan. When you first noticed the title you were excited, but once you read the content you're disappointed and slightly angry. Confessions of a Virgin Sex Columnist is like that.

Is Skylar a virgin? Yes.

Is she a columnist? Yes.

Is the column about sex? Sort of, it focuses on dating, but references to sexual activities increase readership.

Are there confessions in the story? If you want to use that word, then sure. I would call them assertions instead, but that's simply because when I think of confessions, I expect a level of darkness and secrecy along with them. I expect the statement to be something that would surprise the listener, not something that would have the person respond with "And?" or "Ok, your point is?"

What I'm trying to say is the story doesn't revolve Skylar's confessions or Skylar being a virgin sex columnist. The latter is simply characteristics that could be used to describe Skylar. Mostly, the story shows a girl who has recently moved to New York City with her best friend trying to navigate the dating pool and take control of her (non-existent) love life for the sake of her job. There are no snippets of Skylar's articles and there are few references to the column. The story itself is good, although this is a scenario where the author could really throw in some dramatics, but when Marie reveals the tension between Skylar and Oliie, it's an eye-roll moment. In other words, it's nothing to get excited over.

All in all, Confessions of a Virgin Sex Columnist is a quick, light read so don't expect too much from it.

I thought it time for a little light reading and the title of this already had a smile on me!

Each chapter is actually a "confession" so our girl Skye has quite a few and the very first one is the title of the book...and to the wrong person!

Skye has just been given a position on the paper as the new sex columnist- which she's totally panicked about....how can write about something she has no experience with! Luckily her best friend helps, and when she meets Paul that experience gets better!

But something is nagging at her...the same thing that's nagged at her for over four years...but she's over all that....right?

Actually really well written, flows well and although lighthearted I couldn't put it down and had to force myself to! I was a little surprised to see a cliffhanger at the end and even tho I'm open to the next book, I'm not sure it will have the same tug and content as this one does- but that's not to say it won't be good!
I'll be picking it up when released!

What a fun romcom! This is the sort of story that you see in a fun romcom movie - like a Diane Keating movie or something. It has the girl who's determined she's over this one guy and starts dating someone else. And they have a sweet romance but something isn't quite right. For a while, I didn't really get into this because, well, I didn't want her with the guy I KNEW she'd get with. But at about the 60% point I started to get why he was THE ONE. And then I was rooting so hard and of course obstacle after obstacle made me that last 40% a great ride. It's a romance, so it's not really a spoiler to say you get a HEA. But there's a fun little twist that has me anxious to read book 2. Of course I picked this up thinking it was a stand alone and instead I've gotten myself sucked into ANOTHER series. *sigh* #bookloverproblems
