This book is 100% cute. It's a sweet story of love found that was thought to be lost.

I found the whole story was a fun read. The ending is wrapped up pretty nicely instead of having too massive of a cliffhanger. Definitely perfect for summer months at a pool or beachside.

Normally I find the virgin thing to be obnoxious. This time around it was more a humorous thing than annoyance. We watch the heroine fumbling through some crazy adventures involving writing a sex column. I wish we got to read the embellished sex column stories as well.

IT WAS SO GOOD!!!! I felt like I could explode with all the feels. Ahhhhhhhhh. Seriously, this book made me feel in love.

I knew it would be a funny book, simply because of the title. I almost didn't even read the description, because I knew I wanted to read a book with such a catchy title, no matter what else it's about. I was right, because this is a funny story. I mean, being a twenty-two year-old virgin and having to write about your sex life is problematic, but overall, I think Skye didn't handle it too badly. I don't think the story is that much about her being a journalist though, but it's what provoked everything else in the story.

I really liked the chemistry between Skye, Bridget and Ollie. It's obvious that they grew up together and the fact that they know everything about each other makes it really easy for them to understand each other. Their friendship is important to Skye and I have to admit I wished I could have such friends (or more than friends...).

The story is very swoon-worthy (believe me, I had to stop reading sometimes because of how deeply I felt the romance). There are two good looking guys who do romantic things for Skye and who basically mess with her head and I think they'll mess with yours, too. It isn't really a love triangle, at least in my opinion, because both guys don't represent the same thing for Skye at all.

The only thing I didn't like so much was the ending. I had absolutely no idea this would be a series until it was announced and I don't really think it was necessary. Sure, I will read the next book, but I wish it had ended nicely, just like I thought it would.

I highly recommend this novel, since it's short and sweet, light and funny. I would've read it in one sitting if I could've.

(Thank you NetGalley for providing me with a digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.)

Fantastic book! It was funny and engaging. It wasn't like most stories like this where they make it over the top and completely unbelievable. There is a sequel to this, and I am definitely going to be reading it because this one was so good. I could not stop laughing. Also, Skye is relatable. I don't really leave the house a lot. I'm very much an introvert, so the fact that there is a girl who is also like that (and describes herself as Belle) in a book, it made me feel a little less alone.

This was supposed to be fun and to make me laugh or at least giggle or smile, but it didn't. To be honest the cover and the synosis are funnier than the story itself.

For me this book was ok, nothing too special but still cute. I liked the writing style which was average to be honest. I felt nothing for the characters and I continued reading more so I'd know how it ends. All the characters felt flat, uni - dimensional and all the tension that was or it should have been I didn't see it. And how the main character goes from one guy to another... really? I mean, if you see that you don't like the guy and you feel nothing for him, then why the heck you keep dating? Just so you won't be alone? Sorry, but for me that is the stupidest thing ever and I can't swallow it.

In point of romance I got angrier while I read, cause as I said Skye can't f.king decide with which guy she wants to stay and Ollie is as stupid or a ton stupid than her. Like 'I love and I want you and bla bla bla but we can't be together even if we almost hook up" and then after some chapters he changes his mind. Or Skye changes her mind. I rolled my eyes so hard! And in point of funny... it was funny? Really? Where cause I didn't see it and sometimes I tried to be awake and not fall asleep on my kindle.

I don't want to be harsh but this was ok or just boring. Is that kind of book that you read when you want something very easy, not too complicated, with cliche storyline, uni-dimensional characters. And don't expect this book to have logic or something because it doesn;t. I mean, ok, it wasn't funny! I dislked all the romance! I disliked the characters. And Skye was so false! How can you be somehow just to please someone or just so a guy can like you. How can you date someone if you don't care about him or you throw yourself at him just because the one you like doesn;t like you back. Whatever.

I'm ending this before I become more angry. Maybe you'll like it. Maybe you'l like this cliche, boring, without logic, over the top cliche bla bla.

First things first...THAT ENDING...omg...cliffhanger...I need the next book asap.
I picked up this book because I thought the plot was really funny. It did not disappoint me, it actually surprised me since this was a Wattpad story.
If I had to describe this book, it is a mix between Sophie Kinsella and Colleen Hoover.
I enjoyed all the characters and connected to them.
Cannot wait to read the sequel!

I received this book free from the publisher in exchange for an honest review, this does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review in any way.

I really enjoyed Confessions of a Virgin Sex Columnist, it was fun and scratched my New Adult itch. I liked Skylar immediately, she's just your average 22 year old, very down to earth and clumsy as hell. The fact that she's clumsy and prone to making herself look like an idiot, along with the fact that she's not some makeup wearing fashion guru that's doesn't even try was very refreshing and appealing. There's nothing wrong with makeup wearing fashion gurus that don't even try, but sometimes it's nice to find a character that screams 'I'm a real person'. And honestly, if she was a makeup wearing fashion guru the book really wouldn't have worked.

Not only did Skye's clumsy ways make her a very realistic character, they also added a lot of humour to the book. Confessions of a Virgin Sex Columnist had me laughing out loud on public transport, making me look like a crazy person. But it was just so funny!

So Skye gets a dating column, and she has to get into the nitty ditty details of a 22 year olds dating life, which you'd expect to be full of sexual exploits. As the title suggests Skye's life is very far from that, so she enlists the help of her best friend Bridget. I'd really have liked to see more of Skye's work and the writing of the column. I think it would have definitely been an entertaining addition to the novel.

For the column Skye is told to start dating. Now, the reader knows that Skye has feelings for Ollie, Bridget's older brother and their new roommate. So at this point I was wondering how the whole dating someone thing was going to work out. Especially when Patrick walked on the scene and I really liked him, I didn't want Skye to hurt him, crazy as it may sound. I don't want to give anything away, but Kay Marie handled the whole fancying your best friend's older brother while being in a relationship thing very well.

A moment that really stood out to me in Confessions of a Virgin Sex Columnist was the 'confession' at the beginning of Chapter 21. It went as follows,

"Want to know the real reason I'm a virgin? Because I want to be. Maybe it's idealistic, but I've been waiting to be in love with someone who truly loves me back. So maybe my first confession shouldn't have been that I'm a twenty-two year old virgin. I mean, who cares? The real confession is that I'm a twenty-two year old who's never been in love. And to be honest, that's much more depressing to me."

That really struck a chord with me, it's a view that I think may have become outdated and forgotten in todays society among the over sexualisation of men and women and the infamous sex tapes of the famous. Who cares if you have or haven't had sex? I don't understand what the big deal is with the label 'virgin', so I thank Kay Marie for creating a character that wants love above shedding a label.

In the first impression review (read here) I mentioned that I thought Ollie was a bit immature. After finishing the book I can say that this point stayed with me for a lot of the book. My annoyance did subside quite a bit, especially as it became apparent that jealousy was ruling Ollie's actions. (Swoon or what?!)

My one major complaint with Confessions of a Virgin Sex Columnist? The ending! I was not ready for it to end the way it did. One minute I'm happily reading and the next there's an advertisement for the next book in the series. Well, it looks like I'll be reading that one as well then!!

I really, really enjoyed this book. Was it a little predictable? For the most part yeah, but not completely. Some things that I really thought were going to happen, didn't, and I can't even tell you how grateful I am for that. I did think that I had it pretty much figured out, right until the ending.

I really liked Skye, mostly because I completely related to her and all of her social awkwardness. Of course I loved Oliver and all of his teasing and protective ways, but I also really liked Patrick. Which made it hard to root for anyone. It kind of sucks when there is no clear cut bad guy. Of course it's pretty obvious who Skye belongs with, so there's that.

I can't wait to find out what happens next!! I also hope that we get to read about more about Bridget in the future because she was a fun character as well.

Overall, this was a sweet and fun read and I enjoyed the writing style and feel like all of the characters were well-developed and frankly I can't wait to read more.

oh wow...this book pulled me in immediately and kept me going until I was done, finished in less than 24 hours. I love Skye and Ollie...the chemistry, the pretending there is nothing there. This is the first book I have read by this author and I am hooked, I will be reading more in this series or anything else they have. This book is funny, witty and just a feel book I needed to read right now.
