Fast read. I was previewing it for my 14 year old that wanted to read it. I think I'll have her wait a few more years.

Very Cute, Very sweet Very quick read would defo recommend it if you need a distraction ;)

Finally. Sigh. I thought I was never going to get through this but somehow I managed. It wasn't a bad book, and when I started to read it, I was very mindful of the cliche synopsis that I read and I thought, heck, I've read similar books but this was too much for me. There was a false air of perfection. It didn't get me in a shape or form. You know when you're reading a book and it just pulls you in, yeah, nope, this didn't work like that. As a whole it was a good story but the characters were largely shallow and more or less robots. I don't know if I'm explaining this well but that's all I've got so...deal. Ha.

I'm happy to have read this - an other of those books I bought for my daughter. She liked it a lot and I did, too. It proves that teen books don't have to be dull but they can be about realistic characters (take Angela Dorsey), or that they don't have to be grown-up sophisticated (take John Green).
The author knows how 17-yr-old girls and 19-yr-old boys react to certain things: how they feel, what they think, what they say. The parts in the story where it can be unbelievable, are very well explained. The most obvious example is: when Grayson falls in love with Avery. He states several times how he himself cannot believe he could fall in love because he's not that kind, and yet it happened because Avery is so different from any other girl... it's cute.
So yes, while the essence of the story is a cliché: a "bad boy" falls for a boring "good girl", the details are unique and the story is fun and the style is great.
It's a must-read for all teenagers (I think boys could relate too, because half of the book is written in a guy's POV) who want to have a nice, light read.

20 fluttering hearts and more!

Just how can a book be so cliche and SUPER ENTERTAINING at the same time?

I just have to say, after Piper Shelly's Play With Me, I didn't think I'd find another book which is as good. The Avery Shaw Experiment is a light hearted, funny and adorkable story about a science geek girl who "thought" that her heart is pretty much broken when her all-time bestfriend dumps her (in a way) for a girlfriend. It's also about a guy who's pretty much the epitome of "jockness" who falls for the science club girl. Cliche? Hell yeah! Do I care? HELL NO! Should you care that it's cliche when you read it? NO CAN DO!!

GRAYSON: ღ❀ღ❀ღ❀ღ❀ღ❀ღ❀ღ❀ღ❀ღ❀

YES HEARTS AND FLOWERS!!!!

I must say, I admire Grayson's character. Even if indeed, he's popular and and ultra jock, he didn't let this get in the way of getting close to Avery. In fact, he was smart enough to use it. He included her in everything and that's just so sweet. The shower scene, btw is something that you gotta look forward to. haha. Just saying. It's so cute how Grayson helped Avery in "forgetting" about his younger brother. And it was definitely badass how he wrote in a journal about his feelings. I'm just kinda disappointed because I thought there's so much more in that journal that wasn't shown in the book. Oh well.

Anyway, Avery on the other hand, is very analytical. I get her, really. I get how she feels as if she's been betrayed by her bff. I get how she must've developed a totally different outlook for her and Aiden. However, it was still kinda frustrating how she kept on "grieving" for him. It's a good thing that there are just so many scenes wherein Grayson made her forget Aiden.. or else, I couldn't have liked Avery a lot.

The story was pretty much predictable. You know when you watch a chick flick and you can clearly see what's going to happen next but you still watch because you want to have more of that fluttery feeling that ends up with a *sigh or an *awwww? Yes, it was that kind of predictable to me.

Really, I couldn't have asked for a better ending to such a cute story. This made my day. I hope everyone reads it. :)

Leicht und locker sowie ziemlich unterhaltsam:) ich brauchte genau so etwas und finde das Buch klasse

Decent teen romance, though I liked the male main character better than the female. Author might be Mormon since the book is based in Spanish Fork, Utah, but there was quite a bit of sexual innuendo.
