DNF I just got bored and read the plot summaries online to know how it ends. Just feels like the characters were making some big leaps and I didn’t want to keep reading anymore.

Slightly more compelling than book one, though again I will probably wait a bit to pick up part three until I have another lull in my reading.

The final 150 pages bumped it up significantly with some strong Katniss vibes.

Very very slow to start but eventually gets more intense about 2/3 of the way through.
Was a bit of a struggle to get into

Objectively, I don't know if there's anything negative to say, but subjectively? I did not like anything about this. The power system is neat, but there's little actually done with it. I found none of the characters likeable and disliked most of them. Maybe it's trauma, maybe she's meant to be unlikeable but damn if I wasn't so annoyed bering around Mare all the time. Also, I don't like books that are all war and sneaking around; I don't find those plots interesting.

This is the only book i have thought about throwing out of my window while reading. And not in the good way.

If you are reading this review I hope that means you have already read book one, the Red Queen. The Glass Sword is book two in the series. Mare has changed everything the Silvers have known, Cal has been exiled abd they are being hunted by Maven. The discovery of Reds with stronger more natural powers than Silvers has caused a rift in the Norta. Can Mare and Cal save the Reds with powers or will Maven reach them first?

I loved this book. The ending of Book one was unexpected to say the least so I tried to guess where this one would go but it twists and turns unexpectedly and I LOVE IT!
