This was so funny to read as an adult. Junie B. Jones is kind of a brat, but she's also funny and so, so innocent. The things she did in this book were nuts and had me chuckling. Overall a sweet, ridiculous read!

Kind of awful, but hilarious. My 5 year old and I had fun with this one. Fortunately she knows NOT to copy Junie B. ;) And I do correct some of the intentionally poor grammar as I read it to her. We look at these books as completely fictional works containing lessons on how NOT to act and speak.

I read these books when I was like 5 or 6 or something and loved them that’s all I can say because I remember nothing about them but I liked the

My daughter got the Junie B. Jones books on Easter, and we have been loving reading them together. I remember reading these books when I was her age.

Read every single one of these aloud to my boys when they were her age and we laughed and laughed!

My absolute favorite books from my childhood. I still have the series sitting on my top shelf so... why not? Still love them!

"There are those who believe that the value of a children's book can be measured only in terms of the moral lessons it tries to impose or the perfect role models it offers. Personally, I happen to think that a book is of extraordinary value if it gives the reader nothing more than a smile or two. In fact, I happen to think that's huge." -[a:Barbara Park|769|Barbara Park|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1393724640p2/769.jpg]
Junie B. Jones was far and away my favorite series as a kid, and I think it played a big part in the sense of humor I have today. I wanted to re-read this to see if I could still feel comfortable recommending this. I absolutely do; it's hilarious and fun and fairly timeless.

This is one of my favorite childhood series. I related to it a lot as a kid. I thought it was funny then, and now I can definitely see how it would be funny for a child.

The good:
Junie B thinks very highly of herself. At some points this may not look so good, however when I was younger I thought she was just confident and up front with her feelings.
Lots of comical points for children.
Relatable.
Short and easy to follow.
The writing is written as if Junie B is talking, you can practically hear her saying the lines. It’s very easy to visualize her character due to this style.

The bad:
Junie B could be seen as a selfish, judgmental, and snobby character. I didn’t think of her this way as a young child, but I can see how she can be seen like this from an adults perspective. It could be good to remember that Junie B is still a child who does not know the ways of the world yet and right vs wrong. She’s not exactly a good character to look up to due to her behavior and attitude, yet she’s an easy character to relate to and read about.
You have to suspend your believability for this, especially as an adult.

I read this back in elementary school and wanted to read it again. These books used to be some of my favorites and helped get me into reading. It was good but obviously not amazing. I’m a bit too old for these books but I do still plan on finishing rereading the series.
