This is so good. Love the cameos of Peter. While they tie this into the larger universe I love that Miles operates in his neighborhood of Brooklyn. Good seeing Spider-Man do friendly neighborhood stuff.

I found this to be a pretty light read. The plot was pretty simplistic, just a bunch of fighting, and a bit spiderman family love. I really do love these characters, though I found the humor near the end of the comic to be better than the beginning. I don't think anything from the first comic played heavily into this comic, however, it's been a bit since I read the first. The exposition took some time, and the supposed villain never got a reveal or any identifying information other than what the base looks like I suppose. It'll probably get answered eventually, but, again, left this comic a little less interesting. I enjoyed the whole Miles' dad and Uncle Aaron bonding time. It didn't get super deep, but it was really sweet. Overall, decent read.

Love Miles so much, and love the focus on how Miles’s kindness and determination to help others has made him the hero he is today. I’m always very pleased when comics like this, aimed towards young boys and men, discuss and try to counter toxic masculinity.
Miles goes through a lot in the name of protecting those he loves in this volume. Cruel and horrible tests that I detested seeing, but appreciated for how it brought his family closer together. It makes sense he needed time to process it all.
We get a little Peter-and-Miles duo action and interaction and I love it so much! I guess I just have a soft spot for that mentor relationship, and also how unlike Peter, Miles has a good collection of male role models in his life (AND a kick-ass mom, to give Rio her credit)! It just feels like Miles is a lot less isolated comparatively and I enjoy seeing that.
Will be continuing, as expected, because I can never get enough of Spider-Man.

Didn't enjoy this one as much as the first but very much loved the exploration of Aaron as the Prowler and his relationship with Miles' father. Peter's appearance and the way he and Miles interact also did bring this up by a star.

Excellent! There's a depth of character and emotion here that, sadly, I rarely find in the DC comics that make up the vast majority of my funnybook diet. As a life-long DC partisan, my faith is shaken!

I liked the second one in this series too. Adding in Miles’ uncle Aaron was a nice addition. I liked the humor, the diversity and illustrations. I want to read more in the Miles Morales universe! #MaverickList
