Love Miles so much, and love the focus on how Miles’s kindness and determination to help others has made him the hero he is today. I’m always very pleased when comics like this, aimed towards young boys and men, discuss and try to counter toxic masculinity.

Miles goes through a lot in the name of protecting those he loves in this volume. Cruel and horrible tests that I detested seeing, but appreciated for how it brought his family closer together. It makes sense he needed time to process it all.

We get a little Peter-and-Miles duo action and interaction and I love it so much! I guess I just have a soft spot for that mentor relationship, and also how unlike Peter, Miles has a good collection of male role models in his life (AND a kick-ass mom, to give Rio her credit)! It just feels like Miles is a lot less isolated comparatively and I enjoy seeing that.

Will be continuing, as expected, because I can never get enough of Spider-Man.
