A-Force started in the middle of BattleWorld, and it's come very far since those first issues last year. Plus Kelly Thompson (JEM AND THE HOLOGRAMS) is now also writing with Wilson, and the results are FAB. I love this all-lady team with all of my shriveled heart.

It was more of a meet the gang experience and it was a bit harder for me to deal with - I only know three of the characters previously and there's not a lot of context given here. It's interesting though

The idea of a team of ass-kicking superheroines is a fine one, and some of these characters are great (specifically, I personally like Nico Minoru, She-Hulk, and Captain Marvel). However, I felt like the writing wasn't up to snuff here, and the material was dragged down by bad jokes about Instagram/hipsters that took up an entire page, cheesy Whedon-lite dialog, and a gobsmacking amount of reliance on the old "speak English!" trope as a response to science talk, which frankly made this book seem really stupid and like it didn't trust a book about women to be "smart". Could have been good, but alas it was not to be.

In terms of story, this one's basically just a badasses-punch-the-villain fest, but what makes this special is the dynamic between the powerful characters in the tale and the additional material (from Avengers 83 and Secret Wars). The dialogue between the characters is unique for each protagonist and feels more like real conversations than anybody since 10-years ago Bendis. A joy to read, but stupid cliffhangery, so I'm waiting for more.

I adored A-Force: Hypertime. The core of this story is the characters and I adored seeing them in this volume. The team dynamics were fun and I'm so hyped to continue on with the A-Force series.

I didn't particularly like A-Force: Warzones. I didn't know or understand the characters. The team dynamic was unclear and the story felt rushed with a lot of emotional beats that didn't hit me because I felt lost about the characters. Hypertime however distinctly characterizes our main characters and has much more down time to establish the different personalities of our team members and how they work together. I had a much firmer understanding of the characters.

The story follows Singularity who was my FAVOURITE character in the previous volume. She is the most pure and loveable character I've read in a while and I adored seeing her make her way in this world and find friends.

I loved this volume. I'm attached to the story and the characters and I can't wait to see where it goes

Art is excellent and I'm glad to see Singularity again, but it didn't grab me.
