Overall, I really enjoyed this book! It was fun, light, and perfect for summertime! I would definitely recommend taking this book to the beach with you. I first decided to pick this book up because of the title and the cover. Probably not the best to admit, but well, the cover it SO CUTE! I also LOVE to travel so when I found out that this book involves just that (as well as sequels that involve travel as well), I was immediately sucked in! There were a few moments that things seemed a bit unrealistic, such as the immediate relationship with Jenny, but if you can overlook that, it is still a cute read! Aside from those minor aspects, the writing style of the book is very realistic, and if you love Sex and the City, then you will enjoy this book!

I spent the entire book not knowing whether or not I really liked it. I suppose since I read it as chick lit, knowing I wanted light, fluffy, easy-to-read chick lit, I'm not too bothered. However, a few details bothered me:
1. Did her ex-fiance do anything about her depositing loads of money?
2. Where did she get the rest of her money from?
3. Why didn't her credit card company call her? She was in another country unexpectedly and on a huge spending spree. Normally she would have been caught.
4. What happened with Mark and his toiletry bag? Did he notice? I bet.
5. Why did Tyler suddenly become an ass after being such a good guy? That needed a bit more explaining. There wasn't much to indicate he was an ass, then he suddenly was.

I liked it. It made me want to go to New York, which is arguably one of the main points of the book: to make the reader interested in the city.

What I didn't like was: 10 year relationship, New York for 2 weeks, relationship with 2 guys without a day of being single then break up with both guys and a few months of successful job then get the guy back. Her life just fell neatly into place, didn't it?

You have to love a heroine who finds out her fiance is cheating on her at her bff's wedding and then breaks the groom's hand with the torturous shoe she had to wear as a bridesmaid because the bride and groom knew about the cheating.

That being said, for me it was obvious which of the two men she was dating that she should pick and it was a bit annoying that it took her so long to decide, and then she almost lost Alex because of it.

Over all though, this is a very enjoyable, fluffy read.

I would definitely call this a guilty pleasure kind of book. I loved being transported away to New York and following Angela on an adventure I'm sure a lot of us would love to have (minus the whole Mark situation). It was a nice easy read with relatable characters and entertaining events and I'm looking forward to seeing where the rest of the series goes.

This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews We kick off at Louisa's wedding. Louisa is Angela's best friend. The party is well under way but the pain of wearing high heels all night gets to Angela (who of us hasn't had that issue) so she goes to the car to put on her old trusted flats, she opens the car door only to find her fiancé, Mark, cheating on her with his tennis partner, Katie. At first she has the natural reaction to scream and shout at everyone. She feels like a fool. Even her best friend knew. The next day the only thing she wants to do is get as far away from him and everyone she knows.

So she gets on the first plane to an English speaking country and ends up in New York. A sobbing heart-broken mess. Mark was her life. For the last 10 years she's been building a life with him and now she doesn't know, well anything really.

The first order of business is to find a hotel where, Angela meets Jenny Lopez. Jenny thinks that one day she will be the Oprah. She takes Angela under her wing and she is soon finding her way in the Big Apple.

With a new friend, a very gorgeous new Marc Jacobs bag, a blog and two dinners with two hot men, New York soon seems like the perfect place for Angela, but dating two men and writing about them for the whole of New York to see soon becomes a problem....

One of the main reasons I love this book is how easy it is to relate to Angela. She's your typical girl, she loves everything a girl probably shouldn't; Mr Ben and Mr Jerry, chocolate, cakes, cookies and spending all her money on Marc Jacobs to name just a few.

I am DYING to visit New York. It seems so magical. When I do I will definitely be using the guide at the back of the book. One of my favourite parts of this book is when she first arrives in NY and Jenny brings her lots and lots of food via room service, and by food I mean cookies, cakes, chocolate, ice cream.

This is a great ChickLit read. Lindsey has you crying, laughing and shopping (lots of shopping).
