I think this book would have been better for me at another point in my life. This book to me is similar to Meg Cabot and Sophie Kinsella books. I found at this time in my life the main character was too disconnected from me personally. I appreciated the ending and the skill it was crafted with, it was very satisfying. This book just was not for me now, although it was a fun light read.

It took me a while to get into this book but once I did I was hooked. At first I wasn't sure about Angela double dating Mark and Alex but then I soon had a favourite out of the two guys. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series to see what happens to Angela

Okay, so when I was 14, I remember loving this book so obviously I had to re-read. This time around. I have to say that I did enjoy the book, but I also think that the ending was very rushed and I know the plot is supposed to be this way, but I thought I was stupid of her to tell them about the blog when she was was insistent on them, not finding out. Overall, it’s pretty lighthearted, funny, and a pretty easy read to be honest. It only took me like a day or 2 to complete and I felt like I didn’t have to focus too much on it. I did not realise that there was a full series for this book, so I will be buying the rest because I thought it was enjoyable enough and I would like to see what Angela gets up to next and how their relationship goes.

This book is basically a fluffy piece to keep your mind off of everything else. It's very light-hearted and witty, but is not very substantial. My two biggest problems with the book were that the climax did not happen until basically the last chapter and that the author doesn't fully understand writing from 2 cultures. First, the book built on an arch around dating two men very slowly. It's like the reader is suspended in her not making a choice for the entire book and she has all the time in the world to decide. I would have liked to have seen the book climax a little earlier and have the heroin see the ramifications of her actions. Second, the author is clearly British because even her "American" characters were saying words like 'fortnight' and 'queue'. If I took a poll of how many Americans even know what those words mean, it would not be super high rankings.

I liked this book but I didn't love it. I think because I'm addicted to stories set in New York - especially chick-lit books - I wanted to love this and went in with higher than high expectations that I was always going to be disappointed a little bit. It was a good story and I love how impulsive she was in New York and the friends she made and the dates she went on. I also liked the idea of her writing a blog about it all, but I just wanted more from it. I'm not sure what I wanted or what I was expecting, but I didn't get it. I still really liked it and will be continuing with the series.

A fun and funny book reminiscent of Sex and the City but behind closed doors. It was exciting to read about all the places in NYC that I saw not that long ago. I think I’ll continue with the second book in the series to see what happens to Angela next.

It was better than I expected--a good choice if you're in the mood for good old-fashioned chicklit.
