""We're a whirlwind romance." "No, babe. We're a hurricane in the making.""

With Dare S.L. Scott created another amazing addition to her rockstar romance collection.
Its easy to love characters and the perfectly paced slow burn romance make this book just adorable.
Dare and Pepper are a perfect match and I love their dynamic and how the just feel together.

"When I'm with you, I don't need to hear the music. I feel the rhythm."

Even if I had a great time reading the book and following those characters, I really do wish we would have seen a little more of the upcoming rockstar stuff and the trouble/struggle that comes with it. I missed the actual rockstar feeling. If you love this author's other rockstar romance, I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy reading this one as well.

"Beauty attracts the eye, but the soul captures the hear."

Dare is a truly adorable slow burn rockstar romance that will capture your heart in a beat.

An author who can write a story like this is one I will one click every time. SL Scott has a knack for bringing the best out in her writing and this rock star romance is no exception. Weatherly Beck is a law student, grown up with privilege and on the road to success when she finds her fiance cheating on her. Not surprised or particularly upset, she goes to a bar, and notices the lead singer of the band. Dare is not short of women wanting him, but there is something about Weatherly when he sees her in the crowd. When these two meet, it's nothing short of explosive. But being the wonderfully warm, and compassionate man Dare is, he wants to take things slow. A slow burn, both from different sides of the track and the odds stacked against them, will they find their happily ever after? I loved the way this is written. The characters are so real, the story a modern day Romeo and Juliet and the flow is like chocolate, smooth and yummy. I love SL Scott, her style of writing, the fact that she's not afraid to make her heroine's smart, and her heroes loving. It's an amazing listen.

Narrated by the team of Sebastian York and Ava Erickson, we have the perfect cast. York is the kind of narrator that can perform any character, and he molds into Dare. Erickson could not have been better as Weatherly. She brings in a fresh voice with spunk, smarts and a fierce loyalty all with voice inflections. You will not want to miss this one!

Dare is the kind if book that you enjoy. It will make you smile. It will make you happy. It gives you a little bit of that "rebelling against your parents" without actually compromising your real world relationship vibe. It gives you a little bad boy lovin' with a real man. Dare is the kind of story that you read and you make its theme yours until you hit the epilogue.

It's unusual for me to say that an epilogue can make or break a book. Sometimes authors nail them and other times you feel meh...almost like they dropped the ball. Dare is the "holy shit, that was epic- did I just read that" kind of epilogue. I found the depth of connection in the epilogue doubled that of the book. I enjoyed this book. I really liked the flow of Weatherly and Dare. I really liked and enjoyed. Are you hearing me? I was content to give this book my regular happy to have read it 4 stars until those epilogues. S.L. Scott took it up a notch with the final words in Dare's story. She stole my heart with just a few words and stole that 5th star too.

Dare and Weatherly will sneak up on you and grab your heart like ninjas in the night. Whether you fight dirty or not, you will fall and fall hard!

Such a great story of learning to take control of your own life and fight for yourself. The narration is perfect and while the main character are fire, the side characters have so much depth that it leave you craving more of them. Overall a beautifully written story that is the perfect combination of spice, angst, love, and obstacles.

FATE.

Weatherly and Dare meet in a bar where the band is having a gig.
She comes from the Westside, where money is no problem.
He comes from the Eastside, where money is always tight.
Two worlds collide. Can they make it work?

Weatherly is a beautiful young lady, smart, and has a life / future mapped out for her by her family. Until she meets Dare. Hot sexy singer in a bad boy rock group. They have an instant connection, and it’s great to see their love growing more and more throughout the book!

I really liked this story a lot, there’s a lot of connection, chemistry, love, sadness with the two main characters.

4.5 stars!

Totally recommend this book

Now this is a light angst rockstar romance I can get behind.

You definitely saw, and felt the chemistry that Dare and Weatherly have for each other. This is a very Insta love kind of romance, but the inks just pushed it a little bit more than a light hearted romance.

They dealt with the attraction towards each other, and also problems on Weatherly’s side with dealing with finding one’s voice and doing something for you, and not for other people.

Dare had to deal with his own feelings, especially with being in love for the first time and not trying to mess up the situation and also wondering if they should be together because he feels that he’s bad for her and her career.

The spice is underwhelming, but I like the plot more.

We were dealing with lots of heavy feelings and slow links that you knew it was coming, but you didn’t know when I was going to hit and I really like that about the plot.

I really wish the spice was more descriptive, but other than that very nice light hearted, rockstar, romance.

I’m also glad that Weatherly’s father actually became a father in the end.

Not my first book by the author and won’t be my last either.
I love this story so much and can’t recommend it enough. Mixing two characters from different backgrounds and bringing them together when none can deny their attraction to each other and the banter, the chemistry, the inner thoughts, the angst and waiting, everything is going to make you wanting more and more of this perfect love story.
Read it now.

I loved Dare! I found him to be all sides of man and all sides of a rock star. I loved that Weatherly stopped him in his tracks. Even though they were total opposites they just clicked. This book was romantic and sweet it had all the feels!
