A Nearly Normal Family by M.T. Edvardsson
Wow Edvardsson did it with this one! I was totally engrossed with this novel from start to finish. Amazing read. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for other novels by Edvardsson.
Told from 3 perspectives, the father, the daughter and then the mother. Each lying to eachother and themselves to protect someone they love. The plot moves back and forth in time but is easy to follow along. The character development and relationships were well thought out and you discovered a little more about everyone through the different prospectives. Murder, lies, betrayal, a trail, twists and turns. This novel has it all and i would highly recommend you read it.
Adam a pastor and Ulrika a defense attorney seem like a normal family trying to raise their teenage daughter Stella. Stella seems like a normal teenager rebelling against her parents. Until Stella is arrested on suspicion of murdering Chris. Which comes as a shock to both parents. What lengths are they willing to go to protect one another. What really happened that night?
"It takes a long time to build a life, but only an instant for it to crumble."

The last Guest House by Megan Miranda did not let me down. It follows Avery who was Sadie's best friend. Avery is still working in the small holiday town at Sadie's family owned relatity busines as she still tries to process her best friend Sadie's apparent suicide. Strange things begin to happen about a year after Sadie's death. Avery feels like she is being watched and targeted as she tries to uncover what really happened the night her best friend died. Will Avery discover what really happened?
The twists and turns of this book really kept me on my toes. I kept thinking i had it figured out but then ending i did not see coming through me for a loop. Definitely deserves a 3.5 round up to a 4

Wasnt my usual kind of read. I found the story interesting i really enjoyed that it was told in interview style.
Wow this book had me intrigued right from the start it was a fast paced thriller i couldn't put down. As a mother myself this brought forth so much terror in my mind. Its one of my biggest fears and i could really relate to the morther in the story doing everything possible to get her daughter back and living in fear.

I love a Gilly Macmillan thriller and this one did not dissappoint. Told in multiple pov through varying timelines. This book was a one sitting read. The secrets that everyone were keeping from eachother added to the mystery of what really happened at lake hall and who excately is the nanny?
