Wow, D.J. Palmer has done it again with The New Husband. This was one of my most anticipated reads of 2020 and it really lived up to my expectations. The plot was amazing, thought out and executed, full of twists and turns making it a huge page turner. The characters were very well developed, some I loved and felt for and then there was Simon who was sneaky, deceiving and manipulative.
A really addictive page Turner that had my mouth hanging open twist after twist. I highly recommend picking this one up, or adding to your tbr.
A family torn apart by their fathers dissappearance. The mother has a new boyfriend and the daughter suddenly starts getting messages from her missing presumed dead father. Is the new man in there mother's life really who he says he is, what really happened to his other wives. Why is the daughter so Leary of his mother's new boyfriend and what really happened to the father. Chalked full of secrets, twists and turns a spring thriller you don't want to miss

This was such a fun, witty rom com. Lottie is trying out something new after her best friend had convinced her of having a year of saying "yes". Lottie is over saying yes to everything and is ready to change things up. The first thing she does is adopt a dog named Humphrey. Then as a new year's resolution Lottie is allowing herself to be able to say "No" to things she really doesn''t want to do.
I also enjoyed the relationship between Lottie and Seb, they met online but never in person it was clear to me they had a chemistry that I was very invested in to see if was still there when they met in person.
This is definitely a fun, easy, light, enjoyable read. Perfect for if you need something to take your mind off the current world.

I have saw so many rave reviews about Little Secrets. After reading Jar Of Hearts which was amazing I had high expectations for Little Secrets. Let me tell you it did not dissappoint!! Absolutely amazing! I have come to love Hillier's writing style, it seems to suck me right in and quickly turns into a novel I can't put down. The only issue is I suspected who might have abducted the child, even though I ended up being correct I still loved the plot and how it all unveiled itself.
The story starts with every parents worst nightmare a child being abducted! Before her son got taken Marin seemed to have the perfect life. Since the abduction she hasn't been herself, with an attempted suicide and not going to work, to finding out her husband is having an affair. Everyone seems to be hiding little secrets from one another. Through all of this one thing remains, Marin needs to find her son. As things Begin to unravel Marin discovers that her husband might know more about the dissappearance of their son then he's shared. Will Marin's marriage make it, what other secrets will be unearthed? Will the dissappearance of their son ever be solved?
Heart pounding, gripping, mind bending, fast paced page turner perfect for a thriller lover.

Wow I absolutely loved The Guest List by Lisa Foley. It was my first book I've read by Foley although I have had The Hunting Party sitting on my shelves for awhile now, that I feel I need to read asap now.
The Guest List was told from multiple prespectives in varying time frames of before, during and after the wedding. It was really interesting to see how everyone was connected and how one persons mistakes can have such an impact on so many lives.
Will and Jules are getting married on a remote island after a very short time dating. It keeps being elduded that Will is hiding some secrets from his past, something from his school days. As the story unravels you find each of the characters not only Will have a "hidden" side. As the wedding night goes on, we keep discovering tidbits of information to the past that were such shocking discoveries to many. Guests might ulimately get hurt from the lies and secrets or plot their revenge on this secluded island, or perhaps they will be able to leave it behind and move on with their lives.
I loved the back and forth of the story trying to figure out the mystery of everyone's secrets, so many twists that I didn't see coming. This was one fast paced read full of lies, deceit and juicy secrets that some might even take to the grave. A definite must read and one I would highly recommend.

The Sunday Girl by Pip Drysdale was an absolutely phenomenal read. A fast paced thriller that had me hooked right from the
first chapter. I devoured this book in a day while helping my children with distance learning (which should say a lot) Although I'm a little sad because now it's over and I need to wait for another book by Drysdale.
Taylor recently broke up with her boyfriend and for good reasons. Angus angry about the breakup posted a sex tape online of Taylor and took another girl on their ski vacation. Needless to say Taylor is angry and decides to plot some revenge. As soon as she sets her revenge plan into action Angus comes knocking at her door. Taylor accepts the apology much to other people's warnings. That's when things start to go wrong, is Angus involved, he couldn't possibly be, or could he. As Taylor slowly begins to discover who Angus really is she knows she has to get away, but at what costs?
This is definitely a messed up thriller that will definitely mess with your mind. Full of revenge, lies, secrets and deception.

First off I want to thank @emilygiffinauthor for sending me this arc.
#theliesthatbind was an absolutely amazing read that I completely devoured in a day! A story of love, loss, self discovery, second chances, lies and 5 degrees of separation. I've enjoyed all of Giffin's amazing novels but in The Lies That Bind I knew I was going to love it when she mentioned the tv show friends in the first chapter, a couple pages later ER the tv site is mentioned, both of which I also love. I loved the characters, the plot, the raw and realness of the story. I felt for Cecily as she went through every step, and all the hardships, that helped her evolve as a woman and helped her grow. I loved all the little twists that Giffin through into the plot, it made for a very entertaining and enjoyable read. I would highly recommend.
Cecily just broke up with her long term boyfriend and decides instead of staying home wallowing in self pity to go out to a bar. She meets Grant, who seems too good to be true. The only thing is he has plans to travel to London until the fall. Cecily understands and decides he's worth waiting for. When he returns the world is turned upside down by 9/11. Cecily is frantic and finds a missing person's poster with his face on it, only to discover that Grant's wife posted it. A wife? If he lied about being married what end did he lie about. As Cecily is trying to wrap her head around Grant and 9/11 her ex, Matthew comes back into her life. Next thing she knows she's engaged, still thinking about Grant and now friends with Grant's Wife. During wedding planning Cecily also discovers she's pregnant, and the father could be Grant or Matthew. Will Cecily ever tell Matthew and Amy the truth about Grant. Will the wedding go on?
