Gilly MacMillan has done it again! I absolutely loved To Tell You The Truth. I couldn't put this one down and completely devoured it! Gilly's writing style is so fluid and makes you feel like you are right there in the novel. This novel was kind of a dual timeline of present day and a book written in the past about the main characters life. I was engrossed in this novel from page one to the end, I needed to know what happened to Teddy and enjoyed all the twists and turns on the path to uncovering what happened the night he went missing! A must read full of lies, deception, suspense, and mystery!

This was my first book I've read by Heather Gudenkauf and I devoured this one. It caught my attention right from the first chapter and kept me engrossed while watching the story unfold all the way through, with a little twist at the end. Told from multiple points of view you really get the story from several different eyes. Many secrets that so many of the characters have held onto for 25 years begin to come to light. This was one crazy ride that keeps you on your toes. 25 years can harvest a lot of secrets and lies especially if your guilty of murder, at what lengths will one go to keep those secrets hidden.
Eve was murdered in 1995, now 25 years later her best friend, Maggie is reopening the cold case as new evidence has been brought forward. As Maggie begins to look back into her friends murder, Eve's sister Nola is on edge. Always thought to be strange people always wondered if she could have killed her sister. Nola wants Eve's boyfriend from 25 years ago to take the fall for her sister's murder. Nola begins to blackmail Maggie into planting false DNA into the evidence. You see Nola knows things that happened 25 years ago and wants her revenge. Maggie isn't sure what to do. Then things start to get even crazier when Maggie decides to visit the spot her best friend was murdered at. Maggie holds her own secrets like most of the characters and thinks she will finally come clean. Except for the fact nothing good ever happens at the cliffs. Will Eves' murderer ever be discovered?

This was my first book I've read by this author and definitely won't be my last. The book wasn't what I had expected but I enjoyed the story thoroughly and found it to be a fast paced read. I liked the main characters drive to get to the bottom of who started the kindness gestures. I felt like this story was a breath of fresh air with the random acts of kindness spreading all over the city. The kindness and generosity in this story will definitely inspire you to spread more joy throughout your days. A very heart warming thought provoking read.
Kate Bradley, a tv reporter, has just moved to Manhattan when New York suddenly experiences a power outage. After the outage gifts and purple balloons are being left all over the city. Who's behind it? No one seems to know but Kate is determined to take this story on even if her boss doesn't seem to think it's a story. As Kate starts to investigate she starts receiving threatening messages to stop looking for the person behind the kind gestures. However Kate seems to be so invested in this that she's only a little concerned about the notes, that is until her apartment is robbed. Will Kate ever get the closure on this story she wants, or will the person behind it all stay a secret forever.

This was my first book by Claire Fullerton and my first southern read as well. I found it very well written and was very eye opening into the culture and beliefs and social prejudice of southerns in the 1800's. I did find it to be a rather slow burn, that took me awhile to get engrossed into the story. However once I was, it was a beautifully written, raw and was able to make me feel that I was right there in the story.
Celia, Remmy and Ava, old friends that come back together to reconnect and reminisce over past mistakes, decisions about their futures and to ultimately heal. An emotional story of friendship, loss, love and family. I am definitely interested in checking out some back list books from Fullerton.

Not very often do I find myself so spooked by a book that I cannot sleep. I totally devoured Home Before Dark into the wee hours of the morning, ever floor creak or sound from outside had me on edge. This was definitely another astounding read by Sager. He has an amazingly smooth writing style that seems to suck me right in. I enjoyed the dual presectives one for present day and the other, the book the main characters father wrote about their life in the past. I thought it very intriguing that she wasn't actually sure if the events in the book were true or fabricated and I enjoyed the journey in discovering her past and trying to uncover what excately had happened at baneberry hall.
Maggie's father just died and she finds out he left her their childhood home, she doesn't remember except for what she's read in his book. Although her father was adamant that she's not safe there and her mother agrees that she should never return, Maggie wants answers. Maggie returns to the house to uncover the past she's in denial about and to get answers about things her father had written in his book, with an extra secret thrown in here and there this is one thriller you'll be wanting to add to your tbr this summer.

I want to thank Roz Nay for sending me a signed copy of Hurry Home, her phenomenal novel that will be coming out in July! This was such a fast paced read, full of secrets from the past, sisterhood and coming back together. I really enjoyed the dual prespectives told from each sister's point of view and watching their stories come together to piece together what excately happened in the past to set them on their Separate ways for 15 years. I was definitely surprised by the ending and the great shift because of the secrets and lies that had been kept in the past.

Shari low wrote the perfect beach read, light, easy to read, cute book, a perfect break from all the thrillers I've been reading. Told from multiple points of view in both past and present. It was really interesting to see how each of the peoplle were connected and how big of impacts some had on eachothers lives. Friendship, love, heartbreak, lies, betrayal, affairs and a lifetime of backstabbing.
Aggs is a divorced mother of twins. She's turning 45 and has something she needs to tell her daughters. You follow her as she reflects and longs for her past relationships and how she misses her parents as she runs the cafe that was once theirs.
Mitchell Aggs ex husband and Celestes new husband is convinced Celeste is having an affair. He rekindles a new friendship with Aggs as he realizes how much his actions must of hurt her.
Celeste that character you love to hate. A rather selfish character who was once Aggs best friend, but she had an affair with Mitchell and severed that friendship. That's not the only time she wronged Aggs though.
Hope recently took a DNA test to see if she had any connections because she was adopted and hoping to find some biological ties. She may be in for more than she bargained for. Thats ok because maybe she's looking for a little more than just a dna connection.
How are they all connected and what lies and syrprises are unearthed on Aggs birthday?

Catherine Mckenzie has done it again, I'm blown away by her 10th book! She has become one of my favorite authors over the years and I am just completely and utterly mind blown by her amazing writing ability and the fact she can put a major plot twist in at 95% that gives the book a whole new dimension. Wow, I don't even think I have words to describe how much I adored this one. Cults, revenge, friends, murder, secrets this novel has it all!
Her books seem to suck me right in, with the fluid writing, fast paced, need to know what's going to happen and I always seem to devour them.
