Another amazing thriller this year! If enjoy legal thrillers and courtroom drama be sure to add this to your tbr. This was my first time reading a book by Hank Phillipi Ryan and definitely will not be my last. The story is told from multiple prespectives in varying time frames. The characters are well developed. The writing is marvelous and makes all the characters seem a little suspicious at times making you wonder who actually is the guilty party providing an ending that was truly shocking.
Law student Rachel North landed an internship for the summer with assistant DA Martha Gardiner. This seems like a dream come true except for the fact Martha is enemies with Rachel's husband. Jack, a defense attorney, who is on the murder list, a special group of attorneys. Rachel is planning to join Jack in a partnership once her internship is over and passes the bars. But things start to go awry when a cold case from 6 years ago is being reopened. The cold case just so happens to be someone who Rachel had worked with at a previous job with Tom Rafferty. Rachel isn't worried and seems on board with solving the mystery of what happened.

I would like to thank Macmillan, Tor/Forge Forge books for a copy in exchange for an honest review

I really enjoyed the story in PLAIN Janes. It's starts off with a bombing that Jane is in the vicinity of in a major city. This really freaks out her parents out and they are concerned because of some drastic decisions Jane makes after the ordeal. They decide to move to another town. This means Jane needs to start another highschool. Jane decides she doesn't want to be popular when befriended by the "in crowd". Jane wants to do something and become her own. She meets a group, who are all called Jane. As a group they grow and discover themselves through art. Through all this Jane isn't the only one suffering her mother has also been quite affected, and that in turn makes Jane more not ok.

It was really interesting to see Jane evolve and overcome obstacles, but never give up on her main dream. I would definitely suggest this book to any preteens struggling to find themselves in this crazy world. The artwork was phenomenal, the extra snippets of the evolution of the artwork was so interesting.
Thank you to @littlebrown @hbgcanada for providing me the opportunity to read the PLAIN Janes by Cecil Castellucci and illustrated by Jim Rugg

I loved this cute fluffy read! I love a thriller but every once and a while I enjoy a light fluffy read.
I loved Callie the main character, I found her to be very relatable. Most of the other characters I found to be very likeable, except for Tony.
The story follows Callie, a worker at a retirement home. Callie has an unlikeable boss but she's great with the residents in the home. The story revolves around Callie working in the home where she also met her boyfriend Tony. As the story unfolds we discover Tony isn't really who he claimed to be. Where in comes the gardener, Rhys, to save Callie. We then get to watch the relationship between Callie and Rhys unfold along side several of the residents at the home. One residents wedding is also on Christmas eve, but that's not the only magical thing to happen!
If you are looking for a quick, fun, fluffy romance to cuddle up to in this winter storm I highly recommend this read!

This book was amazing! Another romance that was enjoyable, fun fast paced read!

We meet Rosie, the main character on a game show about to win £50000, the inky problem is she doesn't know the answer. She decides to use a life line to call her boyfriend, who happens to be a dinosaur expert. When she calls she says I have one big question to ask, Dave gets nervous and thinks she's going to ask him to marry her, he's not ready. Without even giving Rosie a chance to ask her question Dave dumps her on national tv. Rosie the amazing person she is holds herself together until she gets home. Rosie then receives some flowers that allude an ex is sorry they broke up and would like to get back together. The Flowers don't say who they are from, just her luck. Rosie quits her job, decides to visit her parents and revisit all her ex's to try and figure out who sent them. She visits Dave first which was a horrible mistake. Then Eli, who is now gay, but would like to rekindle their friendship they once shared. Rosie then finds herself on a retirement cruise ship with her parents and new found bestie Eli to track down the last 2 exits. Sounds totally normal life right!
This was such a fun adventurous story. I loved following along with Rosie on her adventures while she was trying to figure out who the flowers were from. I loved the flow of the writing, the quirky and loveable characters, and will definitely be checking out more id Portia's writing in the future.

Loved this amazing thriller, review coming soon

his was my first book I've read by this author and I was blown away! It was amazing and I've already added a bunch of her books to my tbr.

First I loved how the story was told from multiple points of view, the different prespectives and ways the stories intertwined added to my enjoyment of the novel.
Reese has been missing for 10 years. Her father was killed in a car accident on his way home for Christmas break after picking Reese up from College. Reese was no where to be found, it was like she vanished. Could she possibly still be alive 10 years later?

Maggie, has rushed into a new marriage to her rebound man. She's quickly discovering he may not be the man she thought he was. Maggie begins to realize she has some tough life choices to make, if she plans to survive this marriage.
Eva, Reese's mother, still has hope that her daughter is still alive, so much do that she still has her Christmas tree up 10 years later. Eva wasn't always the perfect mother struggling with depression and turning to alcohol and prescription pills to help ease her pain.

Maggie and Eva meet, Maggie's investigative journalist background makes her become intrigued by Eva's and Reese's story. Eva helps Maggie out in ways you least would expect, so Maggie promises she will find out what happened to Reese.

Is Reese still alive, will Maggie discover what really happened that night in college? Will Eva be able to overcome her addiction and heal knowing what became of Reese? Maggie's husband, who is he really? This is one book full of twists and turns you need to read to believe it all yourself. A fast paced unputdownable family drama that I would highly recommend!
