The Third Rainbow Girl is classified as a true crime, one of my favorite genres to read. Surprisingly enough if you love true crime I wouldn't recommend this one too you. Although there book is based in West Virginia where the double murder in Appalachia took place I found this book to read more of a historical memoir. There is a lot of information from the time that the author Emma was living in pocahontas county in west Virginia, and b what ultimately led her to learn about the crime. I also found it to contain a lot of historical information on West Virginia and how it came to be west Virginia, which I hadn't been expecting to find in a true crime.
What I did enjoy was the extensive research that was put into the book and the sections the book was divided into.
This book still leaves you with sadness for the families of the victims because they never get their answers to lead to closure. Much like the case you are left to draw your own conclusions weather you think Jacob Beard got away with murdering Vicki Durian and Nancy Santomero or was Jacob Franklin, truly the guilty man when he was put to death in 2013?
Thank you to hachette books for sending me a copy

This addictive fast paced thriller had me hooked right from the beginning! I loved how the suspense was built in this novel. The timeline of the chapters with a now and then prespective added to the story.
Sienna Scott returns to her hometown 10 years after the murder to try and deal with her past. Her mother's paranoia and delusion seem to be at a all time high. The murder case reopened, will the secrets of what happened that snow stormed night be uncovered? Who's the mysterious man living across the road? Will this family grow stronger or be ripped apart. This suspenseful read had me guessing until the very end!

Really enjoyed this one review coming soon

his was my second Christina Lauren book I've read and I cant wait to check out her back list books because both were phenomenal!

Tate and her grandmother take a trip to London for her 18th birthday. This is really the first time Tate gets to explore out of the small town she lives in with her mother and grandmother. In London Tate meets a boy, Sam. Sam is actually on a trip with his grandfather. They become pretty close, close enough that Tate shares a family secret that she's never told anyone. Although Sam turns out not to be as trustworthy as Tate thought, Sam exposed her secret and they never see eachother again. Until that is 14 years later when Tate is making a film with her father, hoping it improves their relationship. With the director being non other then Sam, the London fling. Will they be able to rekindle what happened in London, or will Tate still feel betrayed by Sam. This was such a cute little romcom i really enjoyed.

Wow B.A. Paris had done it again with The Dilemma! What a page turner I ended up devouring this one in less then 24 hours! Such an intense read that gave me so many different emotions. Love, longing, friendship, horrible tragedy and devastation. Paris is such a phenomenal writer that it felt like I was right there with the family as they went through everything. This is definitely a must read for 2020.

An intensely emotional rollercoaster of a read. The highs the lows, the happiness the sadness, a familys hopes and dreams. Friendships, secrets ands lies. It seriously has it all

This was such a cute, witty, enjoyable little rom com, a classic enemies to lovers. I loved seeing the connection between the two main characters develop. It was told from dual perspective which I think added to the story.
Pepper, swim team captain and perfectionists finds herself in a Twitter war with Jack the class clown. Of course the enemies find themselves sitting right next to eachother in class. As they start spending more time together, they start to fall for one another. Will they be able to put their differences aside to keep their budding relationship going, only time will tell.

Wow I absolutely adored this book. Told from multiple punts of view, which was so helpful
Since so many different things are going on in this story. The parents are ultimately too busy with their own issues, problems, lies and secrets to realize the downward sprial of their teenage daughter and everything else occurring under their own roof. Will all the secrets and deception tear there family apart or bring them back together stronger then before?

Jack, father of three a busy university professor that made a huge mistake at his friends bachelor party 19 years ago. That one crazy night has come back to haunt him when an 18 year old shows up at his office claiming to be his daughter. Jack now faces having to tell his wife about that drunken night be cheated on her that he himself doesn't remember.

Ellie, mother of three, yoga studio owner and instructor. Feeling a little off thinking she may be pregnant but could she really be at her age if 43? While dealing with the stress of figuring out what to do with the pregnancy her family takes a backseat and she begins to discover things from clients at her studio. Could her daughter really have missed the SAT test? Ellie feeling at a loss of who to talk to finds herself forming a relationship with an older woman who had been coming to the studio for awhile.

Sydney, the 16 year old daughter. Perfect 4.0 GPA and on the soccer team. Sydney testing the teenage life by going to a college party with one of her friends where she meets a boy. Here couldn't possibly Like her though, until he texts her the next day. This is when the sneaking and lies come in, but will they catch up with her. Will Brandon discover she's not a student at Yale. Will Brandon be worth all the times she's put off her friends, her bad grades and missing the SAT?

That ending was crazy a couple things I wasn't expecting to happen, definitely a binge worthy cozy read.

Desperate for family stability after his wife’s death, a war veteran has just made a terrible error in judgement.

A Man Called Smith is told from two perspectives. I really enjoyed this heartbreaking tale. I felt for Calla, the daughter that seemed no matter what she did or how hard she tried could ever please her stepmother. I hated Bernice as a person. She was a mother and as a mother myself I would never act or treat anyone the way she does. I was also disappointed in John that he let Bernice over power everyone and subjected his children to this life. This book engages all sorts of emotions and I highly recommend reading it.

John, the widower, father, newly remarried man. John finds himself at a crossroads between his new wife and his children from his past relationship. His new wife Bernice is a strong willed, my way or the highway kind of woman. She manipulates John into removing himself and children from family, friends and the town he always new.
Then there is Calla, Johns daughter, and the subject of all Bernices hatred. Calla is living a Cinderella life... evil, controlling, abusive step mother. Nothing Calla can do ever seems to be enough. Calla then decides at age 17 she will leave even though she knows Bernice will never allow her to talk to her father once she leaves. Calla also worries about her brother Jarred who would be left to Bernice without her protection.

Absolutely amazing read that I devoured and I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for Bailey's future work.

I loved that it was told from multiple pov. First we meet Nicole on the subway platform distressed and trying to give her baby to a stranger when she jumps infront of the train. Nicole is on her way home from work minding her own business like everyday. Nicole is the stranger who ends up with baby Quinn. But why Nicole? Did Morgan jump or did she get pushed? The story of Morgan goes back in time to get a glimpse of her life ands what led her to the subway that day. Nicole's story stays in present day, where she is accused of pushing Morgan. Nicole makes it her mission to discover what happened to this "stranger" and to keep baby Quinn safe.
