This is Amanda's memoir about her experience of living with her transgender daughter and wife. So much emotion, love, courage and acceptance in this story. Truly an inspirational must read story!
Ive been a fan of Ruth Ware's for awhile so when I saw she had a new release I knew I had to get my hands on a copy. True to her work The Turn Of The Key did not dissappoint and dare I say is her best novel so far!
I loved how the majority of the book is Rowan writing to Mr.Wrexham, a solicitor, that she is trying to get to prove her innocence in court. Rowan has claimed her innocence since the first police involvement and doesn't understand why no one believes her. I wasn't sure at first how the book was going to go being letters to Mr. Wrexham but it was very well executed. The story was able to unravel at a steady pace so you understood what had occurred leading up to the death. The ending is a few letters from others to Rowan while she's in prison. The story is a hauntingly chilling one that had me on the edge of my seat wondering what exactly was happening that ultimately led to the death of the child. It had a shocking ending that I didn't really see coming!
This is another book that I highly suggest you add to your summer reading list! A fast paced summer read that I devoured in day!
I would like to thank Simon and Schuster Canada, netgalley for my #gifted copy in exchange for an honest review.

This is the first novel in DI Barton detective series. Ross Greenwood is the author of six crime thrillers. Before becoming a full-time writer he was most recently a prison officer and so worked everyday with murderers, rapists and thieves for four years.
I really enjoyed this fast paced chilling crime procedural. It hooked me right from the beginning. It even had two points of view which I always enjoy, along with the crazy plot of revenge a few twists ands surprises its definitely a great start to a series.
The story starts out 50 years ago in the Winter when a family is running for their lives. They are all shot and killed, or so the gunmen think. Somehow although being shot twice the teenage boy survives.
Fast forward 50 years and that boy is seeking revenge for his family he lost back on that winter day.
"Fear the north wind. Because no one will hear you scream."
DI Barton and his team are baffled by what seems to be a serial killer who seems to come out everytime it snows. Will the detective and his team be able to figure out the mystery?
I can't wait to see what DI Barton and his team investigate next.

The truth isn't always what it seems. Thursday is the second wife of Seth, the polygamist. Thursday suffered a late pregnancy loss, with Seth's baby that left her with no choice then to get an emergency hysterectomy, which has caused great pain. His first wife known as Monday and his third wife known as Tuesday. Thursday feels inadequate compared to them, even though she's never met them or knows their real names. Thursday feeling the jealousy of sharing her husband with two other women decides to try and figure out who they are. Thursday finds a sheet of paper from the hospital for a Hannah, she decides this must be the third wife who's pregnant. In her investigating she discovers who his other two wife's are through the hello of social media. Thursday even goes to such extremes as befriended Hannah without her husband's knowledge. However when Thursday goes to confront her husband they find themselves in a heated argument that ends with Thursday in the hospital. In the psych ward and unsure of why her own mother doesn't believe her Thursday makes it her mission to get to the bottom of everything and figure the truth out once and for all, even if it's not the truth she wants. This book was such a rollercoaster ride, keeping me on my toes second guessing myself. The twists and turns were amazingly written with a crazy ending I had no idea Thursday had that in her
It was my first Linda Green novel and It was a truly raw, emotional, shocking, heartfelt read full of secrets, lies and betrayal. With the story being told from different periods of time and from each womans point of view it was a book I didn't want to put down.
