This is the first book I've read in this series and I can't believe it. I need to go back and read the first 3! This was so emotional at the end, I had to hide my tears.
Tally has known her professor, Ashton, for a long time. Ashton has been in love with her for that whole time, but stayed away because she was too young for him. But that all changes after their first kiss (that shouldn't have happened at the time it happened).
The secrets that Tally holds are so emotional and it's very easy to see why she holds it close to her chest. I was so mad at her sister for leaving her kids and then when understanding comes... That anger goes away. But the answer for what Tally went through... That will stay with me for a long time, it's heartbreaking.

With such a tragedy hanging over their lives, Lily and her granddaughter Emma need to navigate that grief together. I imagine it's so hard to lose your child and for an 8 year old to lose her parents.
But there is hope in this novel. When Lily discovered Doug, homeless and living in a barn behind the house her daughter bought for a quilt shop before her death, she didn't kick him out. Instead she opened her heart to give this Veteran what he needed... To feel like he belonged.
I really liked the ones who rallied around Lily and Emma. The kind of people that you would want around you as you navigate grief. What a beautiful story!

I loved that I knew a lot of the places in this book because it's in my state (my hometown is even here!)
This felt less a romance (there is some but a small part) but more of a woman's self discovery in her thirties. Nadia threw her cheating fiancee out of her life and since everything for the wedding was also paid for.. She decided to throw herself a treintañera (a quinceñera times two).
I really liked her family dynamics. Even when her parents at first had a hard time believing her ex was a bad guy, they really stood by her side. I loved that she still got to celebrate something with all her family coming in from around the world.

A heist novel with magical abilities that helped pull them off was fun. I like the found family but there are also people within that the FMC couldn't trust.
There is a lot of action as crews, guided by Mother Night and Father Silence, steal objects of many different variations.... The big one at the end contains something within that could destroy the abilities these crews have.
I did really like that there wasn't just one big crew... There are several competing for the biggest "get". There are a few twists at the end and one was a little eh for me but it ends in an interesting note for book 2

It was great being back with the Cyclones and getting to know Olivia and Aaron. I love a best friend's little sister romance especially when the two seemingly hate each other... It makes for some fun banter and some very laugh out loud moments.
Olivia having to live with those horrible roommates of hers (seriously... One of them totally creeped me out and it's not who you might think) and so I'm so happy that Aaron let her go live with him. I knew there had to be more to Aaron underneath that playing exterior and I loved watching his true self some to get in this situation. I loved that they could talk about real feelings and not judge the other. They were both patient listeners and very understanding.
I love Aaron's mom and Nonna, they are both a riot. They never made him or Olivia feel ashamed.

A fun romantic suspense on the streets of Istanbul. It's so descriptive and I just felt I was there on this journey.
Ava is there to try and recover a priceless (to her neighbor) book her son took and sold. There she meets Lev who is part of the security for a rare books fair where this book might be sold.
I felt Ava was doing what any mother would do. I wish she had confided in Lev earlier though. Lev is a good man and he has a past that becomes very helpful.
I love the theme of finding family you either didn't have or lost because of circumstances. I love seeing characters from the author's other books appearing (my favorite, Roy, cameos in this one).

This book is set at a summer camp was full of some terrible characters! I did like that there was a them and now so we could get the backstory that sets a terrible wrong never set right.
Goldie should never have taken the fall for something she didn't do. Her "boyfriend" was self absorbed in thinking that he was the only one with something to lose after the accident. There were people who knew the truth and NO ONE dared speak up and most of them were ADULTS!
This was kind of a smooth sailing book and by that I mean, there was no real rollercoaster when there personally should have been. Lives get destroyed and I never felt ramped up enough to be mad or sad.

This was a fun little story. The UnderSlumberBumbleBeasts are made up of the stuff that kids throw under their beds when they "clean" their rooms 🤣
The illustrations are fun and this would be a perfect, easy to read, bedtime story for those with an insight sense of humor. I highly enjoyed it as a mother.

I can empathize with Roxy so much! I am also shy and feel so awkward while talking to people. I also feel like I'm less that way online.
But oh the grumpy co-worker Jeff! He's such a sweet dad though. I could see through him in the way he acted with Roxy. I felt so sorry that he was ever associated with his ex, she was not pleasant.
I really liked the forced proximity there two are put in for their job. I really appreciate that there were people in Roxy's life who didn't make her feel like she was weird or didn't matter or had to change. I couldn't believe the things her Mom said to her!
I loved the chat chain between Roxy and her mystery friend online and though I knew who it was, it was still so fun once this person found out who they were talking to. There is also a "he takes care of her when she's sick" 😍

This was a mostly sweet, with some spice read, with horses and a farm in a bit of financial trouble.
Ian used to be a horse show rider until an accident took him out of that world. Now he wants nothing to do with horses but his sister forces job to the farm she bought while she's away.
Bronwyn is the barn manager who also left the world of horse riding behind to manage a barn for horse boarders. She has to work with Ian to get a scared but beautiful horse, Hades, able to trust people again.
The relationship between the two starts quickly but I wanted more of the grumpiness that is implied by the title. So I wasn't too invested in them but I really love the little found family of horse breeders that Morning Song is made of.
