This was adorable to say the least.
Alec is the older brother of Evie's best friend and she had a crush on him in her teens but he's 9 years older so she never saw him ever liking her. But fate brings them into orbit of each other again..... She's coming to Harvest Hollow for a job, divorced and with a baby in tow.
Alec rescues her when her rental floods and gives her and her baby, Juno, a place to crash until it is fixed.
Alec has a big, big heart. I love how he absolutely MELTS for Juno the first time he holds her. The scene where he gets her to sleep (shirtless of course 😉) is perfection. Evie's ex is just, ugh!! He didn't deserve either of them. He really showed his true colors. I love that her ex-mother in law helped her out post divorce.
The hockey team and their wives/girlfriends are just so amazing in the way they immediately bring Evie and Juno into their circle. The scene where Logan confesses a secret had me laughing so hard. I really liked how Alex's sister actually cheered them if they ever got into a relationship. It was never really awkward for her to admit that. The way Alec watched out for the 18 y.o. twins on the team and how now "Apples" is my favorite mistake.

Oh how beautiful a story this was. I love this beautiful mountain inn that these couples have gathered to and have come to again and again. The addition of a mother/daughter will bring out some secrets that many have keep from their loved ones. Some have come to try and save what can be saved but at what cost?
Each person in here was written so real and I felt a deep down connection with each one of them. I figured out one of the secrets early on and wondered how that would play out. . While at first a bit rocky, I felt the ending outcome was beautiful. I felt that most of these people got the ending they deserved and it was heartwarming overall.

Fun, quick read, and a good time with this book with a quick stop in Vegas that turns into a wedding no one expected.
Worth pretty much falls head over heels for Sophia upon meeting her, like she's the missing piece of his life. Though Sophia just found out something upsetting about her parents' marriage that makes it hard for her to want to trust a man.... But she trusts Worth enough to keep him around while she figures out how she really feels. I do like that she felt that sure need to confront her dad to move in.
I love the friend group of Worth's. They may all be rich but they are genuine and nice. They stand by each other. I'd be interested to read their stories.

Well this book turned out not to be what I was expecting, mostly near the end, but it was surprising and interesting and so good!
Posey had some problems that slowly were revealed over time. She's on a mission once she inherits a house from an aunt.... Get back the love of her life that left her years ago and been seen as the "Empress" she feels she is.
Her daughter Callie Jane wants to get out of this town but she finds herself engaged to her childhood best friend but feels she can't go through with it. She's obsessed with the Beatles, loves to work with her dad, and doesn't connect with her mom at all. But she was my favorite character.
The ending events were out of the blue and I really liked that. I do wonder what happened to a secret Posey hid in a secretary at her house....I hope I didn't miss it being revealed if it was

A very lovely story of a complicated mother/daughter relationship where both have been/were competitive skiers and it feels like that days are back for both of them (in a big way for Claudine). Wylie has a chance for one more big competition. She needs her mom to help her, even having not spoken for 2 years, they get stuck in Switzerland by an avalanche.
I love the cast of characters they find at this hostel they are stuck at. I'm happy the two got to start repairing their relationship with the help of these strangers turned friends.. Though they have a LONG away to go.

Emma is tired. Tired of feeling left out of her family, tired of not connecting with her sister and tired of working at her parents bookstore so they can retire and not getting to have any time off from it all.
So she rents a place for 6 weeks to become like her hero, Emily Dickinson. She has a plan and the last thing she wants to do is fall in love, she's given up on that.... But will Davis (as infuriating as he is) change her mind?
I was mad at Davis for the underhanded thing he did to Emma. He should have told her the truth... When he didn't, he felt like his dad to me. But stuff got better with him and I liked the friendship that developed. The letter writing class sounded like fun, no one writes letters anymore. I liked the small mystery of the bouquets of flowers and the "Forever Yours" letters (though that one was not quite a mystery to me).

A quick little novella where Javier is ditched on a blind date (quite rudely) and Diana is front and center to see it. So she decides to talk to him because she feels bad.
This is an insta love on both parties. Insta love usually bugs me but with this short story, it doesn't. I love how they both felt like 2 souls who just needed the universe to get them together and then it was just magic. He really got her to see her value and that her boss was a sleeze.

This was a great mystery/police procedural/courtroom drama read. It takes place in 2017 but the racial tension feels like the '50s/'60s of the deep south. A white woman is murdered and a Blank man is accused of the deed. He maintains his innocence and claims he was trying to save her.
Zach is an attorney that is hired by Eli, grandfather of the accused. His girlfriend is a private investigator who takes on a cold case at the same time that has eerie similarities.
I loved watching these 2 MCs in their respective parts. The knowledge and skill they have are top notch. I felt there were some red herrings thrown in that made me question myself and my theories. We do get a few chapters from the killer's perspective and it was fun to try and figure out who that was.

Love the Beauty and The Beast vibes in here as well at all the Pride and Prejudice talk (I love that Rosie keeps subjecting her 3 brothers to all the Jane Austin she can!)
Dylan has not been the same since his best friend died and gets let go from his hockey team and is forced to go hide in his hometown of Winterhaven to try and reclaim his image from the "Beast" moniker he's been slapped with. He doesn't expect to find Rosie and her plot to make Max, the love of her life, see her by fake dating.
Max was kind of just very clueless! I kind of cringed every time he was on the page lol. Now Dylan, I love how Rosie can pull smiles out of him 🤩. He's a good person but he just got lost and had to find himself again. I really liked how understanding Rosie was.
Lizzie, the hairless cat was such a fun addition.... Much so when Dylan falls for this feline! I love Rosie's brothers and liked all their antics and words in the sibling chat.

This book felt so well researched as it really brought out the harrowing overall feel of this terrible time in world history.
Theresienstadt is planned as a "model ghetto" where the Nazis made propaganda films to show the world "we aren't mistreating the Jews, look how good they have it" lies and gross misrepresentation of the horrors such camps were in actuality.
Hannah and Hilde are the two points of view and they are on both ends of the spectrum of this time... Hannah, a Jewish prisoner and Hilde, a Nazi sympathizer. They used to be friends until Hilde's family showed where their sympathies lay.
It's always heartbreaking to read about the horrors of this war. I do like a well researched piece of historical fiction and always appreciate the author's note at the end.
