What could go wrong when you call out your ex-college boyfriend on the air on your Sausage Talk show when he is a very loved social media personality who talks about deconstructing toxic masculinity?
Eva is a black cat and has wanted to be a journalist and now she is interviewing B list celebrities over hot dogs. When she calls out her ex-boyfriend on air accidently it kinda blew up and now the ex, Cooper wants to make it up by taking her out on dates and then discussing it on air to show that he has indeed changed. He is the greenest of green flags and even takes her on a date with a therapist!
Eva is hard around the edges and she has such a soft center but is afraid to let people in to see it. Watching her let Cooper in and seeing him show up was great.
I have a feeling this one will either really work for people or they will find it frustrating. Eva is strong and assertive and tough around the edges. You have to go in knowing that she is unlikeable at times. Especially given that Cooper is soft. I loved the complexity of them and their banter and will try to re-read this one via audiobook.

Sarah had a crush on her friend, Jackie when they were 15 years old. One night they end up kissing in a game of spin the bottle. Jackie was in a relationship and out of fear that he would learn about the kiss she stopped talking with Sarah.
Jackie is recovering from a divorce from her high school sweetheart. She has diabetes and PCOS and struggled with fertility. She decides to go on a cruise in an effort to get some rest post divorce. To her surprise she runs into Sarah also trying to rest from work on the cruise. Sarah, the plus sized woman who has always thought about Jackie.
I really loved the way that Lauren writes the fat rep in this book. Jackie is mid-sized and Sarah is plus sized. The way she talked about stretch marks, jiggles and rolls honestly made me so happy. I really appreciated the discussions about PCOS and diabetes.
I enjoyed the story a lot and cannot wait to see where Lauren goes with her writing, as this is a debut novel. Oh, and there is some really good spice in here. One aspect that I wanted a bit more with was the romance to be flushed out a bit more.

Every time I finish a book from Leonor, I hug it and say to, this is my favorite Leonor Soliz book, then I read the next one and say the SAME thing.
Sports Romances are always a subgenre in romance that either works or doesn’t work for me and if you had not guessed it already this one really worked for me. Eva and Logan have a one night stand in college. Neither of them do long term relationships, but yet they both have this pull with one another.
Logan joins a new team and he needs to work on grouchy demeanor in the spotlight, this is where Eva who works in PR comes in. She wants to get a promotion to help her parents out financially with keeping their home. Logan and Eva have a lot of attraction with one another but also so much BANTER. Gahhh I loved their banter and the tension between them. Leonor always delivers on the slow burn even though these 2 hook up in the beginning we have to wait for them the 2nd time around and it was worth every tension filled inch.
I really need the rest of this series ASAP (no pressure, Leonor) because the side characters also hooked me and I want more! The fat rep is as it always is, delectable.

I almost thought I was going to get to the end without a happy ending and was going to revolt but I found myself swooning so HARD with the end of this book and cheering for the couple coming back together. It was so good and I loved seeing the book continue to tie in to what has been going on throughout the entire series.

I really wish Crystal’s YA books existed when I was a teen. I really needed these at that age. This book really explores the rekindling of friendship and making space for grieving the past but allowing room for change.
Chloe receives the best birthday gift, tickets to one of her favorite childhood boy band. But she has 2 additional tickets and the 2 people she wants to bring with her are her past best friends, Sienna and Ramona. Sienna, is the girl she crushed on as a kid. When she changed schools. Ramona who was crushing on Chloe made a move but Chloe didn’t know how to handle the change in the relationship dynamics and they all then fell apart. So, Chloe has the idea to ask them both to go on a road trip to Las Vegas with her and the 3 of them have to work through the fall out in their relationship, deal with the crushes that are still there and gearing up with growing in their lives.
I loved this book so much. I loved the queer rep, the vast differences in the Latine identities and the ADHD rep with Chloe. I adored Chloe’s dad and seeing him also learn to let go and allow growth. I need more to read so I can talk with you about it!

I was really excited to read a historical romance with STEm but I found myself really struggling to connect with the characters and stay in the story. I am going to try the 2nd book in this series because so many raved about that one so we shall see if that is better.

I absolutely LOVE this series and Hendrix’s book did not disappoint. She is a childfree by choice plus size queen and I LOVE her. She is ambitious and driven about her career and is also juggling a lot with her mother who has dementia. I really appreciated the way in which Kennedy highlighted the struggles of watching a loved one go through this disease and the hardships of being a family caregiver. I also adored how badly Maverick had it for Hendrix. He was so SMITTEN and I was living for it. Their chemistry, build and the forbidden nature brought in some tension and I was eating that up. Thank you to Forever Reads for a free ebook copy of the book.
