This is a marriage in crisis / 2nd chance romance between Ale and Dominic. They met in college when Ale tutored Dom who is dyslexic and needed some extra help with navigating English course. And flash to present day where 10 years into their marriage Dom messed up and didn't show up to their 10 year wedding anniversary trip. Dom is a bit of a workaholic and billionaire and kept putting work before his relationship with Ale and she is tired of it!
I devoured this book in less than 24 hours. Which is pretty much what happens whenever I pick up an Ana book.
Now, is this the most well written book? No.
Are there holes? yeah, probably enough to make a swiss cheese sandwich but did I still gobble that up? YES!! I did! 😂🤣
So yeah, I get any criticism of this book and will shake my head in agreement if your review points it all out. But I like the predictability of Ana's books and I appreciate knowing exactly what I will be getting.

ARC review- thank you Forever and NetGalley for an ecopy to read and review!
Soledad's story is one of self love, acceptance and finding a partner that will treat you the way you deserve to be treated. Soledad is a mom and her role has been raising her children and when her life is turned upside down the life she had worked hard to create was at risk of being torn down. But Soledad dug deep and she found a way to do what she has always done- provide and care for her family.
The only difference is now she is also caring for her personal needs. Finding herself and healing. Soledad is Puerto Rican and her culture and family connections came through so beautifully.
In addition to being about self love there is also a romance here. With someone completely unexpected but he has such a kind soul as well and it comes through with how he interacts with his own children. His children have autism and seeing that representation of a parent to a child with autism was handled with so much care and love.
Like with all of Kennedy's books it is so clear to me that she writes with so much intention, care and love. Each book is a love letter to the people and communities she represents. Even ones outside of her own lived experiences and seeing that everytime just makes me awestruck and appreciative of her craft.
Also... Kennedy can write a villain character like no other. 😂 She will have me ready to go swinging for her characters and that speaks volumes to the way she makes you connect with the characters.
So if is it not obvious... I loved the book and I highly recommend it.

This sapphic rivals to lovers romance was so good! I loved Noah and Sage so much. Each of them have such interesting personalities.
Noah is a new hire to the team. She is causing some upset especially when she immediately recognizes her rival from college, Sage. Sage, has been on staff for some time with the company and her comics are always on point and Noah feels the pressure to outdraw Sage.
Sage is trying to prove herself after a mental health break a few months ago and she wants to get the eyes of upper management on her work. Noah, is trying to prove herself but a physical disability- Carpel tunnel is making it hard for her to show her true potential. I also really loved the different family dynamics they both have. One feeling the pressure of carrying the family, the other getting made fun of for being “an artist” in a serious family.
The banter, story, characters, love and tension was on point! This was my first Deanna Grey but will not be my last! I cannot wait to dive into their backlist.

Crystal is one of those authors that keeps healing that little teen heart of mine one line at a time. Her words, stories, characters and growth in the characters always just hit me in the best way and I cry in connection and happiness to see this kind of representation exist in the world.
Whit, loves everything fall. She had a rough summer and was newly diagnosed with PCOS before her senior year of high school and she is dealing with the changes to her body that come with the disorder. We see her struggle with the extra weight, hair, moods, fatigue and pain.
Whit also realizes that her relationship with her long distance boyfriend is coming to an end and the relationship she has with her younger sister is changing as her baby sister wants space to grow. We see friendship tested as Whit tries to keep her disorder a secret. A new relationship blossom with the boy who turned nemesis and so much more.
I related to the challenges of feeling the changes in your body when diagnosis of illnesses happen. The betrayal and frustrations that happen with it. The anxiety, the desire to hide and act like nothing is wrong or embarrassed due to a ableist society that doesn't understand any disability.
