Best of the series so far. This time a mummy's on the loose in Toronto. Not as cheesy as it sounds and I really felt for Vicki during one of the ordeals she goes through.
Another slow paced yet compulsive thriller in the Roy Grace series. Grace is starting to get past the loss of his wife and we learn more about the workings of the seious crime unit.
Took me forever to read but I think that's because my mind is on other things. The passages where people are speaking with an accent were hard to understand but overall a wonderful classic. Definitely worth a read if you like modern vampire fiction.
It's been widely described as a ghost story but personally I feel this is a bit of a spoiler and maybe a little bit inaccurate. I would have loved to have read this without that knowledge so I could make up my own mind as to what is going on. However I did like how the house becomes a character in itself whether or not you believe this is a ghost story. Really well written and a great account of the fall of the country estates that was so common after the war.
Lots more prequels and one 'new' story featuring Lucas and Paige. Probably not a great read for non-fans but I loved the back stories. Makes me want to start the series from the beginning again.
I didn't actually finish this book. It started off enjoyable enough but found it becoming quite immature. Fantasy for girls I think (even though the book isn't recommended for young readers - maybe teens would be best).
Although overall I enjoyed the book, I did feel it was a little too long. It was hard to remember all the bits of research that they did. I would have liked a bit more on the daughter's journey, felt a bit like it was a coming of age thing at the start but then she seemed to get forgotten a bit.
I did love the descriptions of the Eastern European countries that they visit.

Although in chronological order, the chapters of these book are more like standalone anecdotes with a few connecting bits here and there. So it's a bit different from his other books. Saying that, I was often found laughing out loud whilst reading at work so it's still very enjoyable. If you're a fan of Danny's randomness you'll enjoy it, if you are looking for a non-fiction 'story' maybe not.
