This is a small town romance. Paige moves to Port Landon from New York to pursue her dream of operating her own bakery. Cohen is a single dad and the town's vet. He hasn't really gotten over his wife's death. This isn't really a bad book, I was enjoying it when I was reading ti. It just didn't hold my attention.
I DNF'd this at 40%.

This is the final book. 8.5 books led up to this. And the final book definitely has a different feel then the original books. I am going to be honest. I put this one off for longer than it made sense too, because I was afraid of what was going to happen. And I should have been afraid. This had a bit more somber tone to it. Atticus and the crew is always going up against bigger monster/gods and impossible odds. And normally he finds a way out. Normally he is reacting to what is being done to him.
For every action there is an equal or greater reaction. And we see that here. Atticus knows that something is coming. He doesn't fight, he accepts it.
I am not able to wrap my head around all of the thoughts that I had for this book. This is one that I will definitely read again (quite possibly sooner rather than later). Overall, did I like it? I don't know. The ending is still with me and I haven't made up my mind about that. But I did enjoy quite a bit about it- like Granuaile learning from the Monkey King and Owen befriending a sloth.
Is it worth reading? YES!!! This series still stands as one of my favorites.

This is the second book in the series . Once again, Hibbert has shown what a masterful writer she is. This follows Dani and the security guard , Zafir at the university that she works at. In short, this is fake dating/friends with benefits that turns into the real thing. Not surprised. They also have to work through their own emotional baggage.
I adored this book! I loved Dani and Zafir together. I loved the fun and flirty banter that they had at the beginning as it was maintained throughout the story. Their feelings for each other were believable even though they had only fake dated for a month because they had already slowly been falling for each other. I liked that Dani came to the truth of her feelings without the help of Zafir. There were equal arts silliness, "oh that's sweet" moments and detailed fiery hot sexy times. It was a great combination.
