"Nothing is exactly as it appears.
The Closer you look, the more you see."

This book had me in my emotions. This book discusses rape culture as our main character Kate Weston was at the party that her classmate was assaulted at.

I loved the authors writing and how he really discussed and protrayed the story well. It was also the first book I've ever annotated and absolutely love the way it looks! The story at times made me feel disgusted but it isn't the books fault as the reactions the characters had are the same as real life.

It's a powerful, much needed read and I think this is one of those books that should be talked about in schools.

I've read all five of Riley Sagar's books and I can proudly say he's one of my all time favorite author's. He writes his main protagonists sorta similar but I loved how Charlie is into film as I thought that was actually really cool.

I liked how the story unraveled and the twists were fine, it's my least favorite book he's written but it was still super fun and engaging.

4 stars and I can't wait for whatever he comes out with next time.

This was just ok for me, I've heard such raving reviews and I was drawn to the cover for plus size representation which we definitely got and I was so happy to see that in a YA Fantasy but the writing was kinda bland for me and i found it slow in some parts. it was an ok read, I'm excited to see what everyone thinks when it's released
3⭐

I've always heard such raving reviews of this book and unfortunately I can't really say the same.

The story follows Louise who's a single mother with a terrible secret that happened a very long time ago and it all comes back to the surface when she gets the notification "

Goodreads deleted my review.

I read this in grade 10 and it made me fall in love with thrillers and ignited my love for reading. I absolutely remember flying through this book.

I saw a video talking about how problematic and I don't think this is a 5 star for me anymore, maybe a 3

DNF unfortunately :(

“Our daughter was stalked, preyed upon, and assaulted by a grown man. This is when we need our village the most.”

TW: mentions of sexual abuse, rape, assault, child abuse, kidnapping and addiction to opioids

This is so hard for me to wrap my brain around but I really enjoyed this book. I read it all in one day (today lol) and it genuinely made me angry reading the things that the main character of the novel goes through but I realized that that is exactly the reaction we should have to something like this.

We should be angry about GROWN ass adults getting close to younger girls/boys

Tiffany D. Jackson wrote such a powerful novel and even if it didn't have a murder mystery side plot it's important. I honestly think this should become required reading for schools.

I honestly can not stop thinking about this book since I've finished it.

Also, I LOVE that the trigger warnings were at the beginning of this book. 5 stars.

This was so much fun!

I was orginally supposed to buddyread this with a friend months ago but I was in such a bad reading slump I didn't but I literally binged this book this morning (started 7:00am and just finished it now at 8:20am) but omg it was so well written.

Slashers are so good and they're one of my favorite genres of horror movies/books and I can't believe how fast I read this! so good

I was hooked from page 1.

I love the messy drama vibes and this kept my attention. It was so good!

The book follows two identical twins Summer Rose who everyone loves and admires and Iris who nobody really cares about and I totally recommend going into this book blindly as I was so shocked

The ending was a bit off for me but it was still really good!
