plot was great but execution was terrible.
in both books (twisted love and twisted games) there are scenes that are so random with no smooth transitions between them so it seems so abrupt. like the writing is throwing me off in this series. why were there so many time jumps? idk i feel like the first half of the book was a whole lot of nothing. i just read it and idk what even happened in the first half. definitely could’ve been shorter.
i feel like for a grump, rhys warmed up to bridget so quickly and with no explanation too?? i swear his first pov chapter he was already attracted to her and horny like what. you just said you don’t get involved with clients. i feel like it happened so suddenly. this also happened with twisted love, i think i’m finding a pattern in ana huangs writing and idk if i’m a fan of it. the last half of the book was eh. i don’t understand why everyone’s so obsessed with this series.
the beginning felt like a chore to read i just couldn’t get invested into it. but finally it got somewhat interesting when bridget had to train to become queen.
rhys is okay but he got jealous so easily i loved it but his character is bland asf and he has no personality. bridget is great. i think the couple is cute and i they're alright but i wasn’t wowed. yk? like it wasn’t spectacular and amazing and great, it was less than mediocre.

it was terrible. i was intrigued because it was bad, so bad that it was entertaining.
idk i felt like some things were so random and sudden with no explanation or smooth transition. i was like where tf did this come from? like i couldn’t take the book seriously half the time. and sometimes i thought the writing was a little cringey but i was still intrigued enough to keep reading.
i didn’t like how alex freaked out over their kiss and told her they wouldn’t do anything again and then literally like three chapter later, they do it again. like bruh that was so quick, put up a fight at least. stick to your word or don’t say that if you’re gonna fold the next time you guys have tension.
also their first time was so ??? like why are you going at it right after she had a panic attack? and alex should’ve groveled for more. idc. he did not grovel enough, ik the book said that he groveled for a year but she only gave us the first month of his groveling so it didn’t feel like he groveled enough. ik ana can’t write the entire year of groveling but it was still underwhelming. after what he did? he should’ve groveled for more honestly. not satisfied.
but that singing scene had me close the book and run a lap. i don’t really have an opinion on ava and alex rn but i’m excited to see them in the other books bc i heard that alex is better in the other books. but this book wasn’t life changing, i have many complaints and many questions. it was just there. i think i have my expectations too high for this series.

this series is so so good. i loved every book and i usually don’t like fast paced books but with this series it just works out. it goes straight to the point and each chapter is filled with useful information and details. it doesn’t feel dragged on with boring info and stuff. i loved it so much. logan mf bennett. that man is so perfect i love him fr. and lana. this girl is so badass and i was rooting for her the entire time. i’m so glad she got her revenge but i wish the sherif had a longer death, he deserved much worse. i love the group they formed with lana logan hadley and jake. i think their friendship is so cute and i love them sm. such such a good series. i didn’t expect it to be this dark or graphic but it’s was written so well.
