this book was so good. i loved it. i think bianca was great, i think mikhail was great i think their dynamic was amazing. i love how bianca does not care about mikhail’s scars and thinks he’s handsome either way, i love how soft mikhail is with her and his child is adorable. i love how bianca loves mikhail despite knowing what he does in the bratva. i love how healthy their relationship is. well as healthy it can be for a mafia romance. mikhail was so sweet to bianca i just ahhhh melted my heart. i enjoyed this so much.

we get it, nina is so teeny weeny that roman can lift her with only one hand with such ease if he can’t use his legs properly🥺 like dude im not usually one to care if the fmc is described as tiny but its when its mentioned every other chapter when it gets annoying as hell. 

another micro trope i hate is the third quarter break up. eye roll honestly. especially when it’s over something so stupid. why did the fmc suddenly have morals after

seeing roman gutting the man that traumatized her. like????

you know roman is the leader of the russian mafia and stuck around when he killed other people but

when it’s to someone you know, who traumatized you,

you suddenly are against it and have a conscious. you can’t be with him anymore even when you LITERALLY said in the previous chapter you would never leave him even if he wanted you to… like girl you are so annoying. i hate third quarter breaks up sm but i despise it even more when it’s over something so stupid. 

also i feel like they fell in love so quick and their first spicy scene was so out of nowhere i was like huh?? 

but other than that it was enjoyable. ngl i kept forgetting that roman was in a wheelchair even though it’s mentioned in every chapter. lol but it was funny at times too and mafia books are my guilty pleasures so i still enjoyed it. 

Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros
Did not finish book.

was so BORING and it’s so long for what? they did nothing but fuck every other chapter and there was no progress in the story for it to be this long. the fmc was just weak the entire book and the mmc had to save her every single time. like girl get up and do something. such a waste of my time, idk why this book is so popular or why it’s rated so high.

this book is okay. pestilence is a great character, i think he has great character development. the fmc is what brought my rating down. she’s actually the most annoying fmc i’ve ever had the misfortune of reading. 

first she could not make up her mind with how she felt with pestilence. not only that,

when she did know what her feelings were, she still wouldn’t tell him or let him know but she wanted to hear all about how pestilence loved her

. like girl. 

on top of that, she knew exactly what pestilence’s purpose was on earth, he’s said it SO MANY times

so what the hell do you mean she left him bc he did his job a little more efficiently. like girl what were you expecting

. i get that his purpose isn’t the best but yall knew what was coming and didn’t change during the five years that the horsemen were asleep, yall deserve it so stop whining. 

this is “i can change him” to the fuxking max

but she didn’t even really fix him, like yes he changed but she did nothing but complain about how inhumane it is for him to do his one job which is his sole purpose.

furthermore,

the first time she told him she loved him was to help convince him to stop spreading bc sickness and to undo what he did. how fckn manipulative. you kept your feelings to yourself and only told him when you wanted something. also she was so mad when she realized he would kill the world for her. like girl that is the BEST trope and she was like “omg i need to leave him he’s terrible😰” shut the f up please you knew what he was capable of.

gosh she was literally the worst part of the book which sucks bc she’s the main character. ESPECIALLY at the end was a struggle to get through. the majority of the book i could deal with her but towards the end she was so annoying and she got on my nerves every time she spoke. she was just so stupid as well. if she was written differently then this book would’ve gotten a 4 stars or smth. 

but other than that it’s an alright book and pestilence was terrible at the beginning but i mean i would be too if someone shot me and set me on fire. 

but his character development made his so so sweet and so soft spoken and gah he made my heart flutter so much.

victor is a terrible name tho.

The Sun and the Star by Rick Riordan, Mark Oshiro

i enjoyed this book. it was a good story and will and nico are so adorable together. but i do have some thoughts. i’ve heard people say that they felt like this was fanficy and i see what they’re saying. i feel like rick riordan should’ve just wrote this story on his own. i feel like mark did not understand nico and wills characters at all. but other than that i still enjoyed it thoroughly. i hope we get another nico and will book but with rick writing it by himself. solangelo is my second favorite couple in this verse and the way they cared for each other in this book was adorable. 

The Tower of Nero by Rick Riordan

so so good. everything about it was absolutely amazing. apollo’s character development throughout this series was so good. i’m sad i’m done with this series. i love love loved this book and this series.

great book. sad still following the events that happened in the last book and there’s more sad events but it’s such a good book. it still funny and heartwarming.

so many emotions. don’t think i’ve ever cried so hard while reading something (when i catch you ricky, ricky when i catch you). but such a good good book. 

The Dark Prophecy by Rick Riordan

hilarious but also had some really sad moments. we learn more about apollo and his past which we’re all sad memories but i appreciated it more. and this book shows more of apollo and meg caring for each other, it was good.

ik a lot of people didn’t like this book because they thought apollo was annoying or whatever but he’s a god turned into a mortal ofc he’ll be whining. i thought he was hilarious. i found it amusing every time he whined. also will and nico are so cute together. and apollo interacting with his kids is heartwarming.
