Gorgeous book letting kids know it's ok to embrace and love who they are. I can't wait to read this to my daughter when she gets a bit older.

I can't express how much I LOVE the illustrations. And I love any children's book that has diversity.

A really cute book about a lil girl who starts feeling jealous about the new sibling about to arrive. This wasn't the best choice to read to a 3 month old due to it being a little long and she got a bit fussy and yawned a few times lol. I couldn't help but keep asking during the book, "Where da daddy at?" I kept telling my daughter she'll never be in that situation cause mama ain't having no more babies. Loved the illustrations.

This was a really great book about a little girl with a black mother and a white father. She talked about the different things each parent loves and does. Kudos to the author on making the father the hip hop lover and not going the stereotypical route because black people love many other types of music too. I'll definitely have to read this again to my daughter when she is older.

Cute book. Finally got around to reading it with the baby after hearing about it all my life.

This was a good read and its been a while since I read an Eric Jerome Dickey book. I kind of lost interest when Jordan went back home to look for his brother. I was listening to this via audiobook and must have missed something during this part of the story but it seemed a bit unnecessary. Solomon was a thot. I kind of didn't believe J'nette and the rape story. I just wanted her to disappear in the beginning. I found it a bit weird that while Kimberly was laid up in the hospital, Jordan was tripping over here having a half black father. Dude..your girlfriend almost died. :(

That baby needs a whooping! :-) Once again the illustrations by Kadir Nelson are amazing. I love how he draws the hair.

I read this again on March 26th with my five month old. Not sure if she liked it but she did reach out to touch the baby a few times.

Really adorable story of a bunny who decides to wear her moms dress to play in. Of course she messes it up but makes it up to her mom by making her a new one. Loved the illustrations.
