Niobia Bryant showed out on this one! This book had me sounding like a run a way slave with all the twists and turns. Whew! And the ending! Ahhhhhh! I loved how each of the three ladies stories ended, especially Aria's :-). An amazing book. I'd like to see a third one with the ladies in it. This was gooooooood!
This was a quick read and I felt myself many times wanting to punch the ladies in the throats for their actions. I wasn't fond of the ending of this book, it felt rushed. It had tons of sex in it which is a plus. I'll probably end up reading the others in the series.
I'll be doing a book talk on this book in March of 2012. This book was pretty depressing at times. Lots of death. I like the main character Kaelyn, she is a tough cookie. The ending left me wanting more and luckily this is the first book in a trilogy so I have two more to look forward to. Yay. I look forward to reading more books by Megan Crewe.
I can't say enough how much I enjoyed this book. I'm planning on using this for a book talk on March 12, 2012. I loved all of the characters, especially Clarity (Clare) and her ditzy mom. I'm excited that this will be a series! A great teen mystery book.
This was a slow read. It wasn't awful...just not one of my favorites. I'm still deciding on if I want to book talk this because I need something with murder in it but it was just sooo slowwwww. Good story though and the secret stunned me.
This is sure to be a book I read to my future kids. Lola loves the library and she goes every Tuesday with her mom. A great picture book and I love the illustrations and Lola's hair. :-)
My first time reading a book by Ezra Jack Keats. A cute story about a boy who learns how to whistle. This caught my eye because the little boy is African American.
This was great but it didn't have the same magic that Clarity had. I found myself telling Clare to grow a pair a few times while reading Perception. I still love all the characters. This book kept me guessing until the very end. I just knew it was Mallory who was stalking Clare but I did have Mr. Rylander in the back of my mind. I hope there will be lots more in this series. I'd love to see more interaction with Clare and Mallory as they both get used to finally having a BFF.
This is a touching story of a young boy whose mother is going through chemotherapy. His mother is sad that she has lost her hair and she doesn't want to have her picture taken for the yearly family pictures because of it. The little boy, Marcus wants his mom to be happy and be in the picture so he sets off to find her some hair. All I can say is...whew. This book had me in tears. Beautifully written and the illustrations are great.
