This audiobook took me a good while, but I really enjoyed it. I think it's one of the few books where I would recommend the audiobook over the book, fun to hear her read it.
I especially loved the ending that tied back to the title - her reflections on the combo of effort and luck in making a life you love.

I loved listening to this book every morning as I walked my dog. Who wouldn’t want to listen to Ina recount her remarkable life (see what I did there 😄)? I recommend listening rather than reading in book form because hearing the whole thing in Ina’s warm and engaging way was a joy.

I have loved watching Ina’s show for years and love her cookbooks. There wasn’t anything really ground breaking or any dark secrets in this but it was so interesting to hear her life story from her. I listened to the audio and it was like having a cozy chat with a friend. I also really love her life philosophy of giving things a try. The worst that can happen is it doesn’t work out and you do something different.
