The Most Dangerous Game is about General Zaroff living on his private Island and installed a false passage to lure Ships to his Island, then he pretends to help the survivors and starts to Hunt them over the island which is full of traps and designed to be a Hunting Ground for Humans.
Rainsford lands on the Island and tries to get away.
The end is abrupt.
Sometimes it's not written clear, whole scenarios are described by a few words like the end which just skips the fight and ends that he never slept in a more comfortable bed.
Similar was when he felt over the ship.

It just oozes the feeling of a classic, reminded me of some Agatha Christie books in the way it handles suspense and characters. Very entertaining.

a wonderfully written short story, a thrilling fiction. I came across this story when reading The Zodiac by Robert Graysmith in correlation to the zodiac letters to the press. Overall it's an exciting short story with a clever ending.

This is a big-time short story with a ton of adaptions and movies made off of it. At least, that's what people keep saying, it was never on my radar until I stumbled upon it on Likewise. I'm glad I did, it really is exactly what a short story should be. That is to say, it feels like you're reading a novel when in reality it's under 50 pages. Connell is able to set up the characters, the plot, and the atmosphere in record speed. While making it feel like it's NOT record speed. It's thrilling, it raises questions about the morality of hunting game and what makes life interesting. It has all the things you want from a novel but packed into a quick 30-minute read. I would totally recommend this, I had a lot of fun with it.
