I enjoy what DC Universe Rebirth is doing with Batman, focusing on him as a mentor and a leader. The supporting cast is terrific and Batman is compelling, but the relentless war-zone violence of Gotham city makes it hard sometimes to maintain my willing suspension of disbelief enough to continue enjoying the story. How many things can get blown up and still have a functioning city?
