Well, a Batman title has made me cry (again). But this isn't Tynion and his sensitive portrayal of Clayface's struggles. No, this is King and I wasn't expecting tears from this title.

I really liked Gotham and I hated than Batman couldn't save him.

Great art, especially in the later issues (was there an artist change?).

Love a sassy Alfred too.

Decent enough. There are definitely points where it can get quite monologue-y which is annoying, but it was perfectly fine besides that.

Sidenote: I always appreciate a Kite Man cameo, he's my fav.

I wish I had read the normal version, first, but it was still very enjoyable. Sometimes it was harder to follow along because things were missing or unclear because they were sketches, so reading the finished version might have helped at times, but overall it stands well on its own. I loved the story, the artwork is amazing, and it definitely is a must read if you love Batman.

Good art, some interesting ideas, and got a few chuckles from the comedy that landed, but overall the story arc for this volume made me go "eh okay".

I appreciate getting to see some vulnerability in Bruce and getting to see the JLA show up in Gotham was cool, but I can't help feeling some twists in this felt like they bordered on parody and less like the serious drama it was trying to be.
