This book ruined my vacation, I couldn't put it down to enjoy the sights.
I bought this as a "beach read" but I would have read this masterpiece any time, any place. Please for the love of all that is holy, this needs to be a movie.

Well-written, cute, but extremely predictable and just not my style.

I loved this book to absolute pieces, and it was precisely what I needed right now.

The characters are awesome, especially Anette, who is possibly the most charming scene-stealer I've ever read about in a book. But I also loved every other character in the book, from Evie to her friends to NOB--not because I loved him, but because he was so well-drawn and vivid. This book does a great job of making all of these characters and their stakes feel real.

This book is laugh-out-loud funny. It has plenty of wonderfully absurd moments, the kind you see in basically every rom-com out there.

On the whole, this is both a send up of and a love letter to the rom-com. It perfectly blends all the popular rom-com tropes in its pages, yet feels fresh and fun. I'd love to see this on a big screen someday.

However, I think what I liked most about this is how it modernizes the genre. It's feminist in all the right ways. I absolutely loved what it had to say about the ways women have been trained to seek validation from men, and I loved its messages about consent and the way is deconstructed some of the more toxic moments in rom-coms.

If you're looking for something light, funny, utterly charming, and immensely satisfying, this is the book for you.

This was a cute, light read! Evie was a good main character, funny, brave but didn’t know it and herself. She was a tad naive and stuck, but I admired her journey. I thought the premise was interesting, I loved the rom com references, I’ve seen most of them and that was lovely! The plot was a tad confusing, going between the two main men was interesting I didn’t have it figured out and was thrown off a couple of times. I didn’t love Ben at the beginning, he was a bit dull haha, and Ezra was something else entirely. I think the fact that both men had good and annoying moments brought another layer to the story. I really didn’t love Evie’s friends, especially Sarah omg, even she wasn’t a great friend a lot of time. Some of the plot was a bit far fetched, a bit unbelievable, but in the end I enjoyed the story!

Por dios, este libro.

ESTE. LIBRO.

Flew through it. Just what I wanted in the moment, nothing too serious and something fun to read. I found it cute, although you’ll have to suspend your disbelief a lot. Loved the characters and, felt the MC should have have a bit more consequences for her actions though.
