I loved it so much. This was a rare experience where I raced to finish this, because it was so good. The plot is very familiar: girl doesn't know she's special, is being taken to magical place with, love triangle etc., but it is being done with so much world building and the most interesting characters, it never bothered me one bit!

I read this book because a student of mine has been asking me all year to! It did not disappoint. The world and magic was cool, the characters were well crafted, and the plot was slow to start and then ended with a WHAT?!?! moment. Will definitely be reading the rest of the trilogy. Gotta know what happens!
