Alarmingly short on Wallace Wells. I am only consoled by additional Kim Pine goodness, whose scenes with Scott BLOM really handles quite well. Wow, BLOM is an awesome acronym. BLOM BLOM BLOM.
My first instinct is that it's not nearly as funny as the first two volumes in particular, but I think it bears a second reading.

For some reason I didn't enjoy this one as much, maybe because it seemed like less was actually going on. Though, it will definitely be interesting to see how this all works out in the final volume. I'll probably do more of an overall review for the series on volume six once I've completed it.

It’s the shortest and IMO weakest book in the series. I want to say that most of this didn’t even get adapted into the film but I could be wrong as it’s been a little while since I’ve seen it.
Maybe I read this one too quickly but thus far my least favorite, still good but sort of just filler to the plot it felt like. (3.5)

This one ends in a cliffhanger! One book left in the series, looking forward to seeing how it ends.
My feeling that the characters in this series are unsettling too on the nose continues; this book even contains what could have been a verbatim conversation I had with a guy 15-20 years ago.

Flew through this one. They're getting a little more manga-y, but still have a pretty North American feel in dialogue and culture.
