Usually I like the anonymous texting angle, but I really just wasn’t feeling it between Hollis and Ford. Didn’t feel the chemistry and didn’t really care for their “forbidden” relationship

Hollis connects with a man on a dating app, who's kept his account fairly anonymous. That man is Ford, Fire Captain and Hollis' best friends' boss. Ford is in the middle of a divorce and is worried about the gossip that may get out of people learning he's on a hookup app.
The potential drama of Hollis dating his best friend's boss was dumb. When you think it through, it doesn't actually make sense, even knowing their history. This is a childish issue, not something two grown men should be concerned with.

⭐3.5
I liked the start of the story, where Hollis doesn't know that Ford is who he's talking to on the app. Their flirty back and forth was good. It got a little unrealistic when they started describing what they'd wanna do to one another - really their entire message exchanges were written as an author writing them out, not as the characters would.
I'm not sure if this author is for me. After reading Finn and now Hollis, I'm kinda just meh. They're entertaining enough and depending if another book in the series comes out, I might read it. But I also don't have a current desire to go back and read August's book (Moore Men 0.5).
Thank you to the author and to The Author Agency for the Arc.

M/m age-gap, secret identity, small town romance. Second book in the series and although previous characters make a first appearance this can be read as a standalone. Liked this one better than the first.

Very cute book! Not a lot of angst, which was good....but also kind of wish it had dived into their pasts a little moore. Or had some other kind if conflict
story of Ford and Hollis
This is a best friend’s boos to more romance, featuring Ford and Hollis, and is book one in the Moore Men series.
When Hollis discovers his best friend’s newly divorced boss, the smouldering fire captain Ford Wesley, is not only his temporary neighbour but also the anonymous stranger he’s been sexting online, sparks fly both on and off the screen.
This low-angst story was such an entertaining, feel-good read. Hollis and Ford had sizzling chemistry, and I loved how their casual, no-strings fling slowly evolved into something deeper—almost without them noticing. The emotional build was subtle but satisfying, and the connection between them felt natural and effortless. We also get to see cameos from previous books in the series, love these Moore men.
Things to expect in this book are:
Book 1 in series
MM romance
Low angst
Firefighter x rancher
Best friend’s boss
Neighbours
Dating app
Newly divorced MC
Age gap (47/28)
Secret relationship
Spicy times & dirty talk
Outdoor & Office s*x
Calls him daddy
Secrets revealed
Found family
