This sounded like such a 'me' book but the writing was insufferable.

Rough times, good times, sad times and growth between these four friends. A happy ending with hope for the future.

I loved loved loved this book. A lot of times it's hard for me to read adult novels because they are all about divorce and heartache and really just awful depressing things. And I'm not saying this book doesn't have bad things happen but it is so well done. I loved every single character and their stories felt so authentic and real. The story was somehow both heartbreaking and uplifting. It felt like these were real people. Their lives weren't perfect, not everything worked out well. But they managed and they lived their lives the best they knew how.

A story about friendship and the ups and downs of life. Even though you wanted to talk some sense into the characters on many occasions I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and had a hard time putting it down.

Lightweight but perfectly pleasant book that reads very much like One Day with two extra characters.

This was enjoyable at first. I like stories about groups of friends transitioning from college to careers and thought this had a fun spin of checking in on them each summer. I loved Eva at first. I like when careers are described in depth and appreciated a character who saw and defended the upside of capitalism. I also wanted to be her best friend after she tells off Lydia for trying to tell her she needs to get married and have kids for life to matter. But. The ending. UGH UGH UGH. It suddenly turned out to be like every other chick lit novel out there and made me feel like I wasted my time.

A story of 4 friends from college thru their 40s. They have no other friends because they are all shallow and awful people. Especially Eva. She's the worst.
