Invincible Summer by Alice Adams

2.0

This was enjoyable at first. I like stories about groups of friends transitioning from college to careers and thought this had a fun spin of checking in on them each summer. I loved Eva at first. I like when careers are described in depth and appreciated a character who saw and defended the upside of capitalism. I also wanted to be her best friend after she tells off Lydia for trying to tell her she needs to get married and have kids for life to matter. But. The ending. UGH UGH UGH. It suddenly turned out to be like every other chick lit novel out there and made me feel like I wasted my time.
