(Note - though the ISBN claims to be a match, there are in fact eleven tales in the Penguin Classics version I'm reading).

Read up to page 215 and pages 783-813 before returning to library. Tough read but very good stories.

After I stopped forcing myself to read one story daily, I just lost all interest. It’s nothing like the series and while having more of Flambeau is fun, Father Brown is quite different and not as charming. The storys are also a tad boring, the language a bit too pretentious/ old for my taste and the amount of racism is just exhausting

This isn't a book to sit down and read through but something you want to dip into as the mood presents. It is a collection of all of the short stories that together comprise the Father Brown books. Delightful! I did try to listen to a couple of them via audio-cds and was disappointed. I normally like listening to books in my car but just didn't care for the voice actor's representation.

I’m not invested enough in this HUGE anthology to continue in it. A lot of the stories I read were perfectly enjoyable, I just wish I didn’t buy the entire anthology.

There certainly are a lot of these stories! They are very British, very clever, and very Chesterton and they were great fun to read.
